"... exit polls were adjusted to reflect official vote tallies."?
From an Ass.Press story:"(exit polls)around the nation tilted toward Kerry early in the day and through much of the evening, causing early optimism for a Democratic recovery of the White House. That faded through the night as EXIT POLLS WERE ADJUSTED TO REFLECT OFFICIAL VOTE TALLIES."They adjust exit polls to reflect official vote tallies? http://www.centredaily.com/mld/dailytimes/news/nation/10124992.htm 8th and 9th paragraphs

2. The new reality:

''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And
while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll
act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and
that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you,
all of you, will be left to just study what we do.''

11. Deep Stuff, Man...
That quote from the Bush Aid is almost poetic.

By the way, is there any way to view posts on this board in "indented" for so as more easily to follow the flow of conversation?

3. Where can we turn?
Hello, this is my first post, I have just registered. If it is true that the media will suppress all stories relating to voter fraud, and facts can be recanted. Where can we turn to be heard, and taken seriously, besides here. Erica

5. Welcome Dissent is Patriotic
The story is already just beneath the surface and busting out here and there. This is good.

By the time it hits the main stream media (MSM) it will already have a life of it's own.

9. A decisive plan.
Do you think that someone in the Democratic Party is trying to work with black box voter to investigate what happened, where are our democratic leaders? Are they working behind the scenes? Can we ever be as decisive and calculating as the Republicans?

14. I believe that the deafening silence from the Dem
leadership allows us to move on this without a concerted and overwhelming opposition from the Repubs.

Gore wanted to get the votes counted and the Repubs twisted it quite effectively as a recount and a re-recount and sued in court an ran the clock out on us.

This tack allows US some room to move because Bush would have to attack The Voters to get involved with this. Since Kerry is lying low they can't attack US through him.

10. Olberman last night.
I saw Olberman last night, I was glad to see the story get some play. But I hate hearing our stories presented in the same sentence as tin foil hats.

13. It is coming out, slowly but surely. Even in MSM, on MSNBC, in some
regional newspapers.

Glad you could join us. 'Dissent' is always welcome.

6. Standard practice
There is a website that explained exit polling (Josh at TPM recommended it).

12. Interesting link, but
Assuming the quote from the OP is talking about this "reweighting" process:

Have the adjustments deemed necessary this year differed systematically from the adjustments deemed necessary in past years?

If so, why?

And in any case, is the first assumption I mentioned above even correct?

8. they can adjust the percentages
but adjusting the actual numbers would be a bit harder.
See my analysis of the election stats down further on this thread - its quite revealing.
