9. I was just on the phone with Andy....

He is preparing for the battle ahead. Right now, he's pissed off because he wants to join the voting rights threads, but simply does not have the energy...and must prepare for his hospitalization and recovery.

Also, he is overwhelmed at the love and support being shown at DU. This is a wonderful community and...speaking for myself...I am humbled to be part of it.

than our ailing democracy, Andy. You of all people know that when there is a deeply ingrained problem, there is no way but to pinpoint it, root it out, expose it to the light of day, face the ugly realities, and go for the best (no halfway) solution. This should feel familiar. You have everything you need to overcome this--more than enough courage, more than enough stamina, more than enough willpower and inner strength. Oh yeah, and medical resources of all kinds. You have everything you need.

You are certainly not alone. We have all had such challenges, such moments of gearing up for the Battle on the Beach, when everything seems to get real clear and basic. Scary. Thanks for giving us all the opportunity to help. Obviously you believe in the power of groups, and *obviously* this group has your back! Anyway right now I am "otherizing" your tumor--telling it to just get out, beat it, get lost. No mercy. I am visualizing all C cells disappearing.
