To combat what they perceive as fraud with a fraudulent survey. And what they perceive as fraud was, of course, not fraud at all, but an attempt to count all valid votes. I wonder if mail fraud charges could be brought against them?
From dailykos: Enter the Building Industry Association of Washington: Following the election, there were several hundred ballots marked for Gregoire that had a signature problems. Dem volunteers fanned out across the state to locate these voters and get them to sign an affadavit attesting to the validity of their ballot. A "Home Ownership Survey" sent to hundreds of King County residents, along with a $10 check as an incentive for returning it, wasn't really designed, as it claimed, to help project housing trends in the Puget Sound region.
The three-question survey and the check are part of a plan by backers of former Republican gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi to search for fraudulent votes cast in the disputed November election.

They know no bottom. If they can't win at the ballot box, they steal the ballot box. The 'family values' party has the same values as the Corleone Family, or the Borgias. The Bushies would have been right at home with Pope Alexander.
