Let's put SOSs and BOE officials under high scrutiny. They have
perhaps the most important job in the country. Their decision are effecting the outcome of elections. We need to watch for possible interference from the vendors (ie. large influxes of cash, lavish vacations, gifts) . Every state should be examining these folks. Let them know they are under high scrutiny and perhaps we can keep the vendors from influencing decisions.

2. Yes! What would be the best way for us, "the people" to put them under
scrutiny? Thoughts? I'm sure actual physical presence is important, but what if that is something that can't be done often? I even wrote the Governor (fat lot of good that did me...)

these are the people who are making decision that put our elections in jeopardy. Even the suggestion of mass scrutiny could prevent some from "selling their soul to the devil". Would love to hear some suggestions on how we can scrutinize. California elections reformers are currently doing this, aren't they Em? We need a national effort, especially since we are not to expect meaningful election reform with this congress.

5. There was huge partisan bias by officials and poll workers that swung
millions of votes. This is probably the biggest overall problem in the election system, other than the huge amount of special interest money and resulting obligations to payback.

Look at the sections on polling problems and registration problems in the summary of EIRS election irregularity reports for documentation. There was extreme partisanship and bias in carrying out this election.

officials for signs of impropriety in selecting vendors for voting equipment. These decisions will effect so many votes that we need to assure they are carried out with the best of intentions.

7. Not just signs of impropriety...
Ignorance of HAVA and available technology plays no small part in this mess.

That, in part, is why people are trying to distribute the "MythBreakers 2" document.

8. that was done in my state of Ohio, and hopefully others in other
states have distributed "Mythbreakers" as well. I am suggesting that there might be some external influence by vendors to help select their product.

9. Was it distributed to all county officials??
Of clueless election officials, check out Ohio's William Shubat.

"The voter then gets to keep the paper ballot "to do whatever they want with it," explained Belmont County Director of Elections William Shubat."

and will report back.
