Land Shark, Garybeck, Wilms and the groups in CA, GA and OR working on verified voting and paper ballots and anyone else I've left out (you know who you are!).

Why? Because although I've given all this a great deal of thought, you have all provided me with additional insights that I probably would not have gotten elsewhere! The whole VVPB vs. VVP-whatever thing is just one example.

I have a friend who's an election lawyer here and has been totally useless on these issues. Were it not for DU, I would have given up long ago out of frustration!

So keep thinking and keep posting! Lots of heads are better than one!

And remember, great minds think alike...but so do ours! :)

2. That just made me feel better. I hit a low and was feeling really

discouraged and like the dark side of the force is just too damn big and powerful and the whole thing is useless and Frodo is never gonna get the ring in the fire in time to save Middle Earth and I might as well just give up and work in my garden instead of on election reform.

Sooner or later, don't we have to hit the hundredth monkey? I have to say you guys all inspire me. I just came home super discouraged and found your post, and now I feel like there's hope again.

Eloriel, momcat and oh so many others. WE ARE THE DRIP! and drip by drop this sucker is gonna burst wide open. We need to have a plan in place for when it does. Don't get depressed, Get active! Send a letter, write an email, attend a hearing... little by little we will accomplish a lot!
