Whatever you think of the Schiavo case, it's not exactly fair for Congress and the President to make a law to benefit only one person when there are thousands of others in the same boat, not to mention the Medicaid budget cuts and all the other hypocrisy involved with this case.
So how about this:
You each write a letter to your Republican Congressperson, asking for a LAW to be made JUST FOR YOU! They could get thousands of letters. If this catches on, maybe millions! Ask for whatever you want. It doesn't matter. The point is that they tried to make a law to solve one person's tragic problem, which was a family affair already resolved in the courts, and the whole country had to stop whatever they were doing and watch it.
There are supposed to be about 35,000 other people in Ms. Schiavo's situation. What about them?
And what about all the other personal problems each of us has in life?
I don't know. Maybe this is in bad taste, but it seems to me that these idiots need to held accountable somehow.

1. Can I have a law that says anyone who drives by my house has to |
|
pay a toll of $0.50? I live on the corner of a busy street; pretty sure I could retire.

2. Yes. I'll ask them to pass a law to make me starting wideout for the |

Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm sure they'll drop everything and get it passed. Rick Santorum can lead the charge for me - I deserve it. After all I played catch a few times back in college.

How about a law that restores them?

Bury him with requests for new laws.
He's been making veiled threats against judges now.

6. I would like to have a law that... |

would make it illegal for him to open his stupid mouth! If I can't have that then I want someone to clean my house for me. Dust irritates my allergies!

Everyone write to him requesting a law to overturn ANY decision made by ANY judge they don't like. Maybe he can fix a parking ticket for example. Imagine if he got a few thousand of those? That would be SWEET! Imagine having the Hammer on your side in traffic court!
