Provisional Ballots in Ohio |
|
Ohio can begin counting provisional ballots on Thursday, right? Let's grab the bull by the horns here. In 2000, nearly 90% of the provisional ballots were accepted. Let's get it out to the media and make sure that the election officials in Ohio know that we expect to see a similar percentage this year.

1. Which is really interesting because |
|
On Keith Olberman or ABC (I can't remember which now) they said that a high percentage of provisionals were expected to be ruled as no good.
As soon as I heard it I thought "that contradicts what was said the other day about 90% in 2000 be counted as 'good'"

2. Ohio law is different this year... |
|
In this election, provisional ballots will only be counted if they were cast in the correct polling place. In 2000, this wasn't the case.
I'd expect a higher percentage of "no good" provisional ballots this year.

3. From What I Understand... |
|
The provisionals here in Ohio aren't counted until 11 days post election.
