When we talk about exit polls, and how they indicated a Kerry win...
What exactly are we talking about here? Are we hanging our hats mostly on the preliminary Mitofsky poll of 13047 respondents that showed Kerry with a 51% to 48% advantage?

The Republican comeback is that the final (i.e. the corrected one) Mitofksy polls showed Bush with a lead...

So how can we legitimately trust Mitofksy on the one hand but not on the other? When we claim that exit polls favor Kerry, what "official" remaining polls show Kerry with a lead?

One further question... Mitofsky's final poll pretty much matched the official election results, and showed Bush with a lead... so why would he have a need to declare that Kerry supporters are more inclined to participate in the polls?

2. Why did it take 14 hours to release the final exit poll results?
Did they have to reconcile those numbers to match the fixed election results? I find it mighty strange that Kerry has a clear lead up to those last 600 votes, most of whom must have been Bush voters in order to change the final results so clearly in Bush's favor.

3. Well, I've read the US Count Votes piece...
I guess I need to read the Mitofsky report.

I'm wondering why he had to declare that Kerry supporters were more inclined to participate in the exit polls when his own official, final poll of 13660 respondents showed that Bush won? Isn't he repudiating his own final results, and impugning his own veracity?

I'm missing something here.

4. They rigged the final exit poll to match the rigged vote totals
Once the crooked vote returns started coming in on election night, Mitofsky changed his final exit polls to match the crooked vote totals. Up until about 12:30 a.m. on November 3, the exit polls had Kerry winning. The final exit polls were changed to help cover up the second consecutive stolen presidential election. Have no faith in the final "weighted" exit polls.

5. never mind... I've found my answers...
The final exit poll is really a statistical calculation weighted to match final results, and a completely different animal from the preliminary poll, which is a true raw data poll.

6. a lot of things don't add up .... like how * could have a 3M "popular"

vote, and yet -- still have the lowest approval ratings for a sitting president directly after the election

I love the fact that Mitofsky states that Kerry supporters were more inclined to participate in the polls, but that "moral values" was a top criteria for people....

8. I'm just saying there are a lot of weird things that happened -- that Ohio
Florida, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, had major problems and that for a returning president who has a "mandate" he seems to be floundering quite a bit.

Exit polls are a place to start the investigation -- will they "prove anything" -- probably not, but they give us a jumping off place where to further investigate.

See this report which is in response to Mitofsky's report.

Kerry most certainly did not lose. In fact, I'm about 99.98% sure of it (my own figure, from my gut). I've been following DU threads, uscountvotes.org, truthisall, freepress.org, ohio honest elections, etc. since the election, and there is no goddamn way that * won popular vote, and much less the EV.

I just remember the pictures of Kerry rallies with thousands of supporters, open to the public, contrasted with carefully regulated "sign here" * rallys that STILL had protesters break in......and then * wins????? BULLSHITE!

Just waiting for the MSM to pull their heads out of their asses and tell the truth, for once.

10. I'm waiting for Bill Schneider to explain the disappearance of
"values" voters in polls like the Terri Schiavo feeding tube....or why so many think we are on the wrong track or have such a low opinion of Bush. The corporate media crowned Bush pResident....he didn't win it.
