Votergate == no Bush mandate.
Even if the Frat Boy gets his second term, just seeing his annoyance his face when his so-called mandate is taken away from him will be priceless.

Not as if he needed a mandate during his first term.

1. I've been thinking about this today
Even if he is inaugurated, the investigations of the machines and information coming out about irregularities puts tarnish on the myth the bushies are perpetrating. Hopefully the Dems in Congress will be emboldened by all this.

2. republicans in congress
should be all over this - if they're so confident about the 'mandate' they should have no problem with a full recount since they have nothing to lose and they may uncover some democratic voter fraud since they are guiltless of course!

3. Fuck this Mandate
People around the world need to see that Bush was not legitimately elected this time, just like Bush wasn't legitimately elected in 2000.

there would be no mandate. 51% does NOT give one a mandate.

5. He doesn't need a REAL one to claim a mandate
He claimed a mandate the last election because he won the majority of the Supreme Clowns.

Bush is in the faith-based community, you see - Reality follows faith. He thinks we just don't get it.

Show your support for the president, wear a FUCK BUSH button!

7. Don't argue over last weeks battles.
Start fighting for 2006

Theres no way at this point that you are going to overturn a national election.

Look, I hate it when my team loses a game, but I don't give up on the team, and I don't give on the game.

Look Kerry lost. We've lost before, and always come back stronger.

We need to stop this silly obsession with vote counting. (Look, if there was any provable evidence, and I'm not talking about this exit poll nonsense, we'd be hearing it by now.) OK the media is not always on our side. But right up till election day, they reported every fact as soon as we knew it. They aren't robots. If there is some reporter sitting on a mountain of evidence he needs to get some cojones and come forward.

We can get mad, or get elected. You chose. I chose actual power over this pretend power (this cloud-cukoo land) that some people want to live in.

Get real. Your computer can't vote. Go talk to your neighbor, especially if this neighbor happens to be Republican. Don't hate this person, and don't call him stupid. Find out, as one person to another, why this actual human being voted for Bush. If you treat this person right, Maybe he'll want to know about what you believe.

That is how we are going to win the next election. By talking to people and building our grassroots support. This bitterness and diviseness and obsession on the electronics of little black boxes is alienated the very voters we need in 2006. ( note the date. The next battle starts in 2006, not 2008, and we could win this one big

12. It's that sort of contempt that loses elections
Look, even if he has some confused ideas, he is still a human being.
Do you hate people so much that you can't at least take pity on this guy.

Of course not. You vote Dem cause you care. So try to care for this poor schmoe, and maybe you'll even change his mind

21. Yeah, look how NICE Republicans are! That's why they "win!"
Look at their convention -- it was a regular love-fest. Kindness, tolerance and respect for opposing viewpoints permeated the air like the perfumed scent of Zell Miller's sweat glands...

Look at their campaign -- never divisive or insulting, never manipulative or false, never disdainful of people different from Republicans themselves!

That's how they "win." We just don't heed their advice enough. For years, they've been giving us free unsolicited advice to be more polite! Don't be angry or negative, don't bash Bush*, don't be conspiracy theorists! Get over it!

We just need to be more like them. Or something.

/sarcasm.

15. Sorry, I disagree.
Because I'm supposed to be living in a Democracy. I don't want to live in a Fascist state. A Democracy means that my vote is counted with the votes of everyone else.

We need to get the Democracy part right before we move on to 2006. And if we can't get the vote count right this time, what's the point of 2006, anyway?

Yes, we need to get the counts right.
But the odds are it won't matter this time.

So the most important thing to do is to motivate others to watch Bush - to keep track of his bumbling (to point out his competence), his constantly changing reasoning (to question his "persistence") and his nominations (to show his Big Business bias).

I think this next four years will make those who voted for him realize his complete ineptitude, and hopefully vote for a Democrat in 2008.

Since Bush has promised to take advantage of the "political capital" he had "earned," he is bound to make some ridiculous moves during January of February. Every one of our voices will need to count then. Besides, we all know he didn't earn anything at all...

14. Ding ding ding! Casablanca, you're our grand prize winner!
He (officially) won by three points, not thirty. NO ONE has a mandate to rule under those circumstances. And if we can stain his election for a second time, so much the better for us.

16. Furthermore...
We need to check all of the states, especially the red ones, to relieve the nation of that little "mandate" idea. I bet the red states were padded too, so that we would be discouraged by the popular vote margin. And it worked.

It's all smoke and mirrors, folks-pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

What we should do is organize to monitor the vote totals in every state. One team each could monitor a state. I'd volunteer to do NC or AZ.

23. No. 3% means some sort of cooperation on some
issues. A difference of 5 - 10% or better is a mandate IMO.

22. $100,000 REWARD for VOTE FRAUD INFO
Justice Through Music, www.jtmp.org, has posted a $100,000 reward for specific evidence of vote fraud that would affect the outcome of the presidential election. Check out the home page of the website for full details. In short, JTM is looking for insiders to come forward with evidence of fraud, such as in the voting machines. JTM is aware of all the info posted on sites such as DU, so that info does not need to be forwarded. JTM wants whistelblowers inside the voting machine companies, inside the campaigns, and inside the election boards. reward@jtmp.org JTM is asking for additional donations to get the reward much higher to increase the incentive for someone to risk their job. Please get word of this reward out to all those people. If there is anyone out there who lives near to the voting companies and wants to blanket the cars in the parking lot with flyers about the reward, contact JTM at questions@jtmp.org.
