I have a question about Diebold, sequioa, and other vote machine companies
I thought I would check here first to see if this has already been dug up before I started a search for it.

Do we know how these voting machine companies donated to political parties prior to 00?

I'm just curious to see if they gave money to replublicans when Clinton won. Just trying to see if they were playing to the highest bidder or if they have always given to the republicans and just figured out the cheating aspect for the 00 vote.

If you don't know the answers but do know where I can look to find the answers, I would appreciate that too.

thanks in advance for any help

3. You're welcome.
I think Common Dreams web site lists donations but I'm not certain.

4. I've wondered that too; how Clinton even got elected, especially second
term; these guys have been around a long time.
You might find some info here; this is a thread I posted asking for info on Sequoia and ES & S and it has a lot of nefarious history stuff.

6. There are other ways to hack.
What goes on with OpScans?

Worse, what happens at the central tabulator.

And of course the Dirty Tricks/Malfeasance.

There are other ways.

7. Actually, there WAS electronic voting in Georgia
53% of Georgia's voters were on an electronic voting system prior to 2000 - mostly ES&S optical scan but Global (now Diebold) thrown into the mix as well.

If you look at the numbers going back to 1992, you see the republican shift in voting start with the implementation of these machines all the way back. They were simply perfecting the method since 1996.

Georgia Details here (pdf)
