Constitutional Ammendments set for Ohio election reform
Ohio will be pursuing Constitutional Amendments to address Election Reform in Ohio. .

We're going to be working on the issues we've all been asking for:

--The end of gerrymandering.
--The end of Secretary of State oversight over elections.
--Voting reforms.
--Democratic corrections to Ohio HB1.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Ohioans may vote on three amendments to the state constitution in November that could significantly alter the political landscape by changing the way lawmakers’ districts are drawn and by removing responsibility for elections from the secretary of state.

The amendments have been drafted and will be submitted to Attorney General Jim Petro next week to ensure they pass legal muster before a petition drive is launched to place them on the Nov. 8 statewide ballot.

A total of 322,899 signatures of registered voters must be certified by Aug. 10 to qualify the amendments for the fall ballot. While the amendments would appear separately on the ballot, backers said they will be packaged on one petition so that a registered voter would sign once to support all three amendments for the ballot.

The amendments were conceived by four men well known around Capitol Square who stressed that they are acting privately and as nonpartisans to restore good-government principles.

I will post link as soon as I have it.
