Here we go! FBI Raid Bush fund-raiser's condo -- Tom Noe
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 02:07 PM by libertypirate
I actually wondered if they would be able to catch someone doing this.

Remember Tom Noe
<snip>
Mr. Noe, 50, is a coin dealer and former chairman of the Lucas County Republican Party. He manages two rare-coin funds that have received $50 million from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
</snip>

<snip>
At issue is whether Mr. Noe gave people money in order for them to give to the Bush campaign, allowing Mr. Noe to exceed federal spending limits, law-enforcement sources said.

By law, Mr. Noe would have been unable to contribute at the fund-raiser because he had already made a $2,000 donation in August, 2003.

1. Man! I thought they raided an actual fundraiser
Like they burst into some hotel ballroom, guns-a-blazing, and made all of the hoi polloi hit the dirt. Ah! To dream!

7. Looks like the corrupt BOE are getting served....
But if the Feds care for the americans at all, they'll raid Blackwell's courthouse and get behind Blackwell's fraud propaganda campaign.

2. Good, now I hope there is some evidence...
I'm thinking Bushy made many enemies in the FBI and CIA, hopefully they'll be working to expose him one of these days...This could be a start...

5. Tom Noe - Toledoan
He's also pretty bad with his coin stores, he likes to overcharge the value of what he sells by huge amounts.

8. Where can I get work like this?
<snip>
Mr. Noe, 50, is a coin dealer and former chairman of the Lucas County Republican Party. He manages two rare-coin funds that have received $50 million from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

That investment arrangement is currently under a separate investigation being conducted by the Ohio inspector general.
<end>

The article also says Noe "made millions" from this arrangement.

You don't suppose that folks in God's Own Party would be using public funds for republican purposes, do you?

10. any relation?
from mod mom's link:

"Additionally, Board chairperson Bernadette Restivo-Noe, in a letter addressed to the Ohio Secretary of State, dated December 22, 2004, announced her intent to resign as both chairperson of the Lucas County Republican Party and as chairperson of the Lucas County Board of Elections."
