"Did George W. Bush Steal America's 2004 Election? Essential Documents"
Yesterday, I received an advance copy of the above-mentioned book, which is now available for order from www.freepress.org . The authors, Bob Fitrakis, Steve Rosenfeld and Harvey Wasserman, have compiled over 700 pages of evidence for the 2004 election theft -- almost everything we DUers have wanted (in one place) to refute the dismissive attitudes of our "see no evil" neighbors, friends and family.

Please go online and order multiple copies. For me, I'm ordering copies to send to Howard Dean, the DNC (as in "Do Not Confuse us with the facts") chair who says he hasn't seen any "hard evidence" yet for the 2004 election theft and to send to my local Nashville newspaper. While you're there, be sure to leave Bob et al a "thank you" note for all that freepress has done and is doing to expose the "crime of the century".

1. Please post the 4 or 5 most convincing passages from the book.
That way we can decide whether to also order it or ask our local libraries to buy it.

Thanks in advance.:kick:

3. The Table of Contents is five pages long!!
I wish I had a scanner so I could list the entire Table of Contents. (Maybe someone else with a scanner and an advance copy of the book can do this.) But it's too pretty here in the Orange State today and I have too many hay fields to cut and garden rows to weed.

So here are the section headings, with the number of articles/documents in each section in parentheses:

-- Preface (by Rev. Jesse Jackson)
-- Prologue: Before the Election (3)
-- Election Day, 2004 (17)
-- Piecing Together the Big Picture (10)
-- The Birth of a National Movement (6)
-- The Challenge Escalates (8)
-- The Historic Challenge of the Electoral College (9)
-- What Was the True Vote Count? (6)
-- Will the Next Election be Stolen? (14)
-- Appendix (5)

7. Second to last item in TOC is the core issue
In our heart of hearts, we know what happened in 2004. But how can we call ourselves patriots if we let them do this again in 2006? I won't be able to face myself in the mirror unless I feel I've done all I can personally to derail this fascist juggernaut. It shares position number 1 on my "to do" list with "Inform citizenry of Constitutional requirement for impeachment" Neither one is an option. They are mandated duties for preserving the Republic.

10. i think that anyone not voting for the repugs should
vote absentee in the 2006 elections. that should logjam the election officials enough that they might seriously consider some changes and our votes can't be electonically changed. my (86-year-old mother) and i stood in line for an hour to pre-vote but we did not touch-screen vote. we picked up absentee ballots and left. it was very easy and we didn't have to stand in line to drop them off the next day.

of course, the absentee ballots could always be 'miscounted'.
