Very, very sad news: Rev. Bill Moss has died
Bill Moss, lead plaintiff in the Moss v. Bush case challenging Ohio's electors in the Ohio State Supreme Court, has died. Bill was a long-time activist in the Columbus area. I had the pleasure to meet him and talk with him at length in Houston at the Election Assessment Hearing just a month ago.

I know no details of his death but really would like to. As you hear more, please post info here.

Photos of the EAH, including one of Rev. Moss, can be found here:

Another sad, sad day...

6. Columbus Dispatch online has a brief article
It says that Rev. Moss had a stroke last week while on vacation in Pennsylvania, and that his son Loren said he had been improving since returning to Columbus, so his death was a surprise. He died this afternoon.

He's been on the school board several times before, but is not a current member of the board.

9. he was an amazing man!
I only got to know him through his work in the Moss v. Bush case and the JC hearings, but I found him to be inspiring.

Maybe he can work the issue from above....

11. Rev. Moss was a wonderful person; he contributed so much to the...
Election Assessment Hearing, and of course Moss v. Bush will go down in History.

This is incredibly upsetting news. PLEASE somebody post details if you have them!

Much love and sorrow to my friends in Ohio (and everywhere) on this loss... Marybeth in neighoring Pennsylvania

12. Peace at last to a lifelong activist and champion of the
under represented. I only got to know him after the election. He was a powerful speaker and sincerely committed to fair play. He was very close to Bob Fitrakis, so I suggest watching freepress.org for a tribute to Rev Moss.

14. Very sad.
I enjoyed meeting him in Houston at the Election Assessment Hearing. He seemed fit and healthy. We had a great conversation. He was eloquent in his presentation.

He also directly questioned Robert Pastor, who was a representative of the Carter-Baker Commission and visited EAH:

"I'm Bill Moss. I've served 18 years on the Columbus Board of Education in Columbus, Ohio. I've been elected five times. My wife and I are the lead plaintiffs in Moss v. Bush regarding the mischief that took place around the Election 2004 in Ohio. I don't know what you've been presented with with regards to evidence of criminal wrong-doing, but as a result of these hearings here today you will be presented with evidence of criminal wrongdoing in that election on the part of the Bush-Cheney Campaign. My question is, what will you and the Commission do about the evidence indicative of the
crime and its scale for the Election 2004? Thank you very much."

Geez. Athan Gibbs (inventor of TruVote voting equipment). Andy. Rev. Moss.

The columbus dispatch required registration. Has anyone come across a news report anywhere else? I'm not getting any hits on a search of google news.
