6. I urge you to consider posting a review of the actual OP at dKos ..
...that contains the poll. If you do, please PM me so I can recommend and we can get it on the 'greatest page' for as many to see as possible. It is a strong validating statement of Mark Crispin Miller's essay.

Thank you.

Peace.

9. The article is sort of old news and has been discussed ....
before. However DailyKos and been activity censoring members that advocate that the 2004 election was stolen. The poll is really the big deal. It the first sign that Dailykos might be opening their eyes to fraud.

10. My point is that the article is not old news and the fact that it was ...
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 10:35 PM by understandinglife
... posted at dKos along with the poll and persisted is worthy of further exposition here as I can imagine many folk who read DU are not yet as familiar with Mark Crispin Miller's article as they should be.

Thank you for your consideration of the suggestion. Maybe your 1000th post could be in honor of ' M Crispin M', Cobb and Conyers -- the three big C's of election fraud-busting ;)

Peace.

13. This was the product of a Daily Kos poster
called Georgia10, still accessible here:

http://www.ajschuler.com/html/armando_s_challenge.html

It was the culmination of many Ohio diaries and posts by Georgia10, and reflects the work of many other DKos posters. Far from being censored it was front-paged - by Armando.

It is a fantastic compilation of information on "irregularities" in Ohio. Kossacks, like DUers, petitioned Barbara Boxer and delivered 1000 red roses to her in acknowledgment of her stand on the electoral challenge. Barbara Boxer also has posted on Daily Kos.

So no, the diary mentioned is not "the first sign that Dailykos might be opening their eyes to fraud".

Not by a very long way.

23. Yes, I was very, very disappointed in the response of Markos to the fraud
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 03:32 PM by Nothing Without Hope
Same at many of the other "front-running progressive blogs." it was like they had internalized the DNC credo and refused to be open to what really happened in that election. It was all "we'll do better next time, move on."

I don't know whether this poll, out of all the Kos posts daily, will have any impact on the declared and enforced (with censorship) position on the stolen election. From the evidence of his behavior and decisions, Markos closed his mind to that long ago. Why should he suddenly open it? It's one of the main reasons I hardly ever bother with dKos. If the election fraud is censored, what else is?

There's censorship here at DU too, but not of the election fraud. And it's a far better forum for discussion and sharing information. (The DU format also works for this, but something does need to be done to promote the visibility and accessibility of the most important threads after they pass so quickly off the Greatest Page.)

I did vote. here are the current numbers:

The 2004 presidential election was:
Stolen 1269 votes - 88 %
Not Stolen 86 votes - 5 %
I'm too old/ young to remember 10 votes - 0 %
71 votes - 4 %

1436 Total Votes

22. understandingtruth, Good point. It's not KOS & "Management" opening up
it's the underlying judgment of the people taking the poll.

This is cool! Always nice to know what the readership thinks. Wonder what the vote is among the KOSistas or whatever they call themselves lately.

KOS to his staff: "More Cool Aid!!!"

21. Thanks Kansasblue
Given the weeks of admonitionsk from KOS and his 2nd in command, the firm and furious ARMANDO, that there be no talk of election fraud on their service, this poll is quite something. KOS must be losing his touch and demoncrtating a tin ear to his usership.

Why do this, re. "This silly" above: well it's a poll, we get to participiate. Based on the results, we're a tiny fraction of the total.

I think that you can ignore us, kick us when we're down, delay information, hide informaiton, mock us...but I also know that the word is out, there are very, very serious reasons to question the results of 2004 and you can make a persuasive case that it was stolen.

Thanks!

24. 88% Believe @ 86 @ 160 @ 1269 & @ 1293 Votes... Very steady, no?
I wish we had an expert to interpret the steady state of this poll, considering other polls we've seen since nov2 have not been steady across time like this.

My take is either no one votes at Kos and this poll was DU'd by a SHITLOAD of DU'ers who aren't afraid to say 2+2 doesn't = 5 like others would have us believe, or else Kossacks really have some strong difference of opinion with their administration...

The trouble with silencing the messenger is the very question itself of the veracity of these allegations falls off the table altogether.... What question? Never mind, look at the "poor folks" being "attacked by pets" and "snakes" on the tv (thank you anderson cooper xbox 360!)!

Never mind, the nation is a-okay mission accomplished save Nawlins ... yadda yadda yadda ...

IIRC there was one major news item scheduled well in advance of its release that really got "left behind": the result of the inquiry into florida's voting in 2000 that was to be release on the 11th or 12th of september 2001...
