Question about ES&S Scanners. |
|
Hi, folks. I haven't been in this forum for a long time because I started having my doubts election theft. Now that the GAO report has come out, I'm open-minded toward the idea again.
I learned recently that my small county in California is one of the few that uses the nasty machines, in this case ES&S scanners. Could someone tell me where I can find info on the ES&S scanners in Tuolumne County? I'd like to know how / if they can compromise an election. 2004 was a nightmare here. I can't remember the details, but someone said something about the scanners giving them fits.
Tuolumne County is the perfect place for a trial. It's one of the few red counties in California, very rural. People wouldn't suspect a thing.
Thanks in Advance,
LH

Most likely the central computer/tabulator will be using the ERS (Election Reporting System) software to combine all the results. After the scanner counts ballots from a precinct the data file is created and then imported into ERS for tabulation. One can manipulate the data files either locally or remote via the network if the computer/tabulator is connected.
You can ask the Tuolumne County Supervisor for the software they use, version number, and *ANY* hardware for a wireless/phone/network connection. Remember, software can be designed to secretly communicate in the background so even a simple phone connection can be used as an entry.
Once you have this info you can search for the proper manual and other resources for your research. Getting the manual can be tricky but is possible.
Please let us know how it turns out.
