Miller's blog details NPR's censorship of voting machine issues.
Mark Crispin Miller has detailed on his blog how NPR is proceeding, in effect, to black list his book and him as well, refusing to allow ads for the book or to have him on to discuss the book.

Here's the link:

http://markcrispinmiller.blogspot.com/

This story comes from Autorank's ERD post for Tuesday, covering other election fraud stories of interest as well. And by the way, thank God for Autorank and the many other election activists who patiently, day by day, find the latest news in this most crucial of all issues for Dems.

1. Is this true "censorship of voting machine issues," or a network not
reporting on one book by one guy (who understandably would be pissed about it)?

Is there actual proof of censorship? (I didn't see proof on the blog. Doesn't mean there isn't any, or that I didn't miss it.)

4. Something weird is happening on NPR
Seemingly what Miller claims should never occur, but since BushCo has made ever attempt to destroy NPR it would not surprise me

And at local levels. So often there is a need to balance and protect the winger view, the truth be damned. It's as if the entire staff has been told that if they don't fall in line their jobs are gone.

Happened on PBS too.

8. Oh, don't get me started. Lard I can't stand them.
It's that stupid music the play as a transition. I had to take the station off of my pre set to avoid hearing it. Just made me furious...:argh:

But NPR censoring the election fraud story. OF COURSE: THEY HAVE, THEY DO, AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

They get government money. They're not real journalists and, unlike BBC, there is no national constituency for an independent welfare press.

I can say proudly, I've never given them a dime and I have not listened to them since the day I got SIRIUS Radio, long time ago!

They are toads!

9. Mark should take this to Media Matters.
I don't know much about NPR but if they do get government funds, then this is probably illegal.

Mein Kamf? Give me an effen break.

10. More from Suburban Guerrilla blog
http://susiemadrak.com/2006/01/10/09/58/question-authority/

Susie Madrak:
"So I get on the phone. I call Tim Roll, who says, “It’s a political ad. We don’t run political ads.” When I press him further, he refers me to Legal. I leave a message. (So far, no response.)"

"I’m really curious. Aren’t you? If you live in the WHYY listening area, or if you’ve ever given money to NPR, you have a vested interest in the integrity of the public airwaves and you should ask the station yourself. Their phone number is (215) 351-1200 and here’s their email: talkback@whyy.org"

"As a recovering journalist myself, I’ve been following Mark’s saga with interest. I mean, here’s a guy with all the establishment credentials, he does all the academic work and documents the facts – and he’s frozen out of the media because they don’t want to hear what he has to say."

11. K&R - Bob Edwards was wacked since he was a moderate - Inskeep is a total
fundie shill, along with Barbra Bradley Haggerty. Robert Siegel is about the only person I can stand listening to. Even "The World" has been going down hill, and that's produced by PRI. :sigh:

12. I listened to NPR on election night 2004.
Their reporting had almost nothing to do with reality. It was outrageous, really.

They are whores very little different from the corporate paid prostitutes.

I do not, nor will I ever apologise for calling them whores. It doesn't matter how many times the have the Dem point of view presented, or how many segments on flute music of the Andes. On election night when America and the Constitution needed them most, they fell asleep while BushCo banged us.

Enjoy your oil money, NPR. Oh, and as I've said before, go to hell.

15. MSM is censoring Diebold's financial woes too. Big media lock out.
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 09:48 PM by McCamy Taylor
It's a major conspiracy, in part because the MSM helped with Selection 2004 (remember who sat on the Exit polls?) and they dont want their own guilt discussed.

Will say it again, the MSM DELIBERATELY chose Bush over Kerry because Kerry said he would not support Bush's federal media ownership rule changes and the MSM was salivating over these. Bush claimed he was going to challenge a lower court reversal in the SCOTUS. However as soon as Bush was safely sworn in for a second term, Michael Powell decided not to take it to the SCOTUS and the MSM realzied that it had been USED by the administration.

MSM is embarassed to admit that it sat on the exit polls, played footsie with the Swift Boat Vets, made Dan Rather into St. Sebastian and called Kerry a Waffler for |TV stations it never got. Makes the MSM look like a bunch of losers.

My next installment of "Nixonians" at Grand Theft Election Ohio will be called "Medea" and will be about happens when the Media is scorned. What doesnt happen is the media admits its share of the blame.

16. I've noticed this too
Seems both "Diebold" and "Election fraud" are equal to four letter words in the MSM's eyes. You made some good points about how the MSM basically helped Bush into office by their non-reporting of stuff that really mattered like PNAC, yet gave tons of air time to the Swift Boat Vet liars. As I've told my parents and anyone else who will listen, it's not so much what the media is telling you, it's what they are not telling you that matters. Can you say CENSORSHIP?!?!

Besides election fraud, the corporate owned media is the biggest problem we face in respect to getting out of this giant mess BushCo has created. With rigged elections and the MSM in their pockets, the elite in power have total control over the rest of us. They have shit all over the grand vision of America the "founding fathers" had in mind, and are quickly turning it into a corporate/fascist hell state. :(
