HELP MY IGNORANCE! (CA-50 vote today) |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-06-06 02:58 PM by AAARRRGGGHHH
Hey everyone, please excuse my ignorance, but I'll be voting for Francine in the CA-50 election today, and I wanted to make sure I took all necessary precautions before voting.
I know my district is screwed; in 2004, my wife and I each registered twice and we were still forced to fill out a provisional ballot (which I'd bet wasn't counted) because they said we left off our 'county of birth' on the registration form. I am sure that we filled it out each time correctly.
Anyway, I voted in the last election a few weeks ago and my polling place used optical scan votes. What can I do to get my vote counted?
Again, I'm sorry for not knowing what to do and I greatly thank you for your help.

1. I fill safer with optical scanners. Just make sure you darken the |
|
circle/oval completely and use the pencils provided.

2. Another CA voting question |
|
I just came back from voting. Central CA, total Repug stronghold. I was the only voter in the place with 5 poll workers sitting around shooting the breeze. They became uncomfortable when I started asking alot of questions about the vote scanner. The only identification on it at all said, "AccuVote". One of the workers said she thought that was Diebold.
I stood and watched it fed in, and got my little receipt. I thought all of the Diebold machines had been decertified still? Any thoughts?
