Colo. voter records disappear during move

Colo. voter records disappear during move
Sun Jun 18, 12:49 AM ET

DENVER - A file cabinet containing the personal information of thousands of voters disappeared since the Denver Election Commission moved to a new building, officials said, dashing hopes the records were misplaced.

"We still don't have any reason to believe that it was, quote unquote, stolen," commission spokesman Alton Dillard said Friday. But the commission will let voters who registered between 1989 and 1995 know that they could be susceptible to identity theft, he said.

Earlier this month, the commission acknowledged that about 150,000 voter records had been missing at least since February, when it moved to a new office. Last week, the commission found about 87,000 of the records.

The rest are still missing.

The commission said that shortly after the move, someone noticed a file cabinet was still in the former office. The contracted mover, Prestige Corporate Relocation, said the cabinet was gone when movers went to retrieve it, the commission said in a news release.

Calls to Prestige after hours were not returned.

2. In a move such as this, what would be the one thing that should
have been protected at all costs? Hmmm? There are way too many instances lately of personal info disappearing for my comfort. Who's benefitting from these thefts?

4. Bet they recovered all the Republican voter registrations.
This is so predictable.

Someone really ought to take the time to analyze the 87K registrations and see if this is not the case.

5. the problem is, all the "someones" who might investigate are republican.
this is how they win: they FIRST infiltrate all the enforcement and judicial agencies with toadies. Then they're free to do as they please.

6. The GOP needs as many voter registrations as possible so that they
can 'target' and intimidate Democratic and independent voters.
