Last night I listened to Brad Friedman from bradblog.com discuss the grave moral issues beclouding the recent Busby/Bilbray House special election in San Diego. In particular, he described the scandalous "sleepovers," i.e. poll workers taking Diebold electronic machines vulnerable to adulteration, into their own homes prior to the special election. Such unprotected handling of virgin voting equipment is prohibited by CA law, and casts doubt over the legitimacy of the election results.
http://www.bradblog.com/?p=3051In the same interview Friedman also stressed the importance of publicizing all immoral election behavior ahead of November 7, when the country might potentially be confronted with dozens or even hundreds of soiled races simultaneously. This is all the more important in the state of California which the controversial re-certification of Diebold voting machines could easily turn into a next Florida or Ohio. I hope that after listening to Brad's interview on Ring of Fire you will conclude with this DU contributor that illicit Diebold sleepovers have become a worse threat to public morality than gay marriage and abortion. Please recommend this message to other equally concerned citizen.
