Tennessee's largest city (Memphis) begins to live the e-voting nightmare
http://www.memphisflyer.com/memphis/Content?oid=oid%3A17661 ("Early Voting Snafus")

This article, in the Memphis Flyer, is a good review of the real problems of e-voting on a crowded ballot in a crowded city. It also does a good job of reviewing our concerns about "faith-based" voting using DREs.

This follows another article they published earlier this week which was also an excellent review of our issues.

http://www.memphisflyer.com/memphis/Content?oid=oid%3A18009 "Vote Early and Often: How many things could go wrong with the August 3rd election? More than you might imagine."

For months, we tried to get Memphis voting rights "activists" to pay attention to these issues, but they turned out to be shills for Diebold. They covered their asses by getting the Memphis Election Commission to require "paper trails" but the State Election Commission has not approved any printers for DREs, so that isn't happening either.

For Tennessee, SNAFU is the right adjective these days. But we're not stopping our fight. And if we never stop fighting, we cannot lose.

1. Incredible length of the ballot in this one along with paperless DREs...
...in short supply for the number of voters just may make for a 'perfect storm' of election troubles.

Watch the volunteer state this week, folks because they are volunteering to be a big guinea pig testing ground.

Thanks for posting this, FBN!

4. Sunday ERD pointing to problems

If a voter thinks they've been given a ballot for a district other than their own, they should ask for help immediately, Frye said.

"They need to question the machine person before they push that red ‘cast vote' button," Frye said. "Once that button is pushed, there's nothing we can do.
