this, its like you are saying to vote into a machine that locks our paper ballot up and then, counts that ballot in secret. I don't get the theory here, voting in to that box puts our vote in to their proprietary machine.
With the emergency ballot( not that its going to the end all problem solver) will keep our ballot, more or less out and away from their vote counting, storing, and corporate proprietary machines.
If the people should stand up against the election, wouldn't you want to fight the proprietary vote counting machines, in a new, and unrehearsed court battle, where we have additional (evidence) paper.
Because when they lawyer up against us, about wanting to get a recount (or in their terms a rescan), they have that fight down to a science.
The emergency ballot issue , may take them off their game a bit, because the old fashioned way, as you said "they are still counting ballots from 2004" just doesn't seem to be working, in our favor.
They may be ahead election night but, at the very least we have ballots stacked up and not hidden in a blackbox, to fight for or with.
Emergency paper ballots, wouldn't fall under their proprietary protection b*lsh*t.
Don't beat me up to bad over this, I'm just thinking out loud.
By the way I have a ballot counting and storage box idea, that is not Proprietary. Its called (SEE-VOTING) OR (C-VOTING) for short.
