4. I dunno
I dunno that it takes thugs with bolt cutters.

What if ya put the machine on the dining room table and one's teen-geek plays with it? Just fer fun.

What if some of the poll volunteers are hobbyists who enjoy the challenge of hacking? How many people write computer viruses just for kicks to be able to brag to their pals about it? Who are these people sleeping with the machines?

I thought about signing up with the county... but I figured if they gave me an "overnight", I'd set the damned machine in the corner of the yard where my dog would pee on it.

Thanks for that link.

"...such sleepovers are in violation of state and federal law."

We need a RESTRAINING ORDER against Haas using his "fun and exciting" SLOT MACHINES!!

For fun and excitement, people should go to their nearby casino. For democracy, they must vote on paper.

6. In an interview, McPherson denied he found security flaws in Diebold.
I got this in an email tonight from Bowen's Chief of Staff:

SOS McPherson denies he found security flaws in the Diebold system.

He also denies knowing about the Sequoia problems, which according to Black Box, his office discussed on a conference call last week.

9. In a word, yes.
In fact, his Berkeley Voting Systems Technology Assessment Advisory Board (VSTAAB) identified 16 security flaws in the Diebold machines, and a report from the independent testing authorities (ITA) identified three security flaws in the Diebold machines and recommended code changes.

So he was told of 19 defects in the Diebolds that were tested.
