One week to go until one of the most important elections of our lives and it appears the cat's out of the bag. The mainstream media is starting to report on the electronic voting scandal, and polls show Americans are starting to "get it." But will it be enough? The Solar Bus will keep you updated on the numbers, any evidence of fraud, and what you can do to save our democracy. Check our website regularly for up-to-the-minute coverage.

Will they steal it again?

That's the question many people are asking. And if they do, will the American people stand for it this time? The polls clearly indicate the Democrats taking over the House, and possibly the Senate too. Nothing short of divine intervention seems to be in the way. But the stakes are extremely high, and the Republicans will not give up power without using everything they have to prevent a loss. Mysteriously, Karl Rove doesn't seem nervous. Why not? In a recent interview on NPR, Rove admitted that he has his own math that he uses to study the election.

All the conventional dirty tricks in the book might not be enough this time, unless they have something else up their sleeve, beyond the lies and the name calling. And it appears they just might. When Rove mentioned he has "THE" math that no one else does, many election rights advocates raised suspicions that it could have been a Freudian slip, and he just might be up to something.

So you don't trust the voting machines? You're not alone!

Several recent polls indicate that the vast majority of Americans have serious doubts about the electronic voting machines, and for good reason. Click the headline for the complete story.

Now for the important part: What can YOU do?

The evidence is clear, the Republicans are doing everything they can to maintain power. The question is, what are we going to do about it. Part of it is just staying informed and "talking it up" with others. We will never fix these problems until we realize how bad it really is. For the coming week, some very important networks are being set up for reporting suspicious incidents. Below are some of the most important things YOU can do to prevent election fraud. Pick a few and promise yourself to do them!


Join the Election Protection Task Force: this is perhaps the one best thing you can do if you want to help ensure we have a fair election. By signing up you'll get plugged in to all the news, action items, and you can discuss all this with other people in your state and around the country.

Support Clint Curtis campaign in Florida. Out of all the races this November, this is clearly one of the most important. Clint Curtis is a former Republican who directly witnessed efforts to rig the electronic voting machines to steal the elections in Florida. They actually paid him money to write the program to steal elections. He has testified before Congress, signed an affidavit describing what happened, and even passed a polygraph test. Now he's running as a Democrat for Congress, against Tom Feeney (R), the very person who asked him to write the vote-rigging software, and who also was deeply involved in the Florida 2000 fiasco. Curtis is a computer software engineer who understands the voting machines and the problems they pose. We need him in Congress to help our country deal with this issue. Brad Blog: Check Brad Friedman's website regularly. He's the best investigative journalist on the voting machines. From now until election day and beyond, look to Brad for the latest breaking news and the evidence of fraud as it comes in.

Print, copy, and share this great new flyer. Experts agree, the electronic voting machines can't be trusted. This flyer has some amazing quotations from some of the world's best experts. Print a few dozen copies, put them on bulletin boards, car windshields, be part of the grassroots media!

Mark your calendar: November 2nd on HBO, a full-length documentary will air called Hacking Democracy. This film will expose some of the major flaws and scandals of the voting machines and the companies who make them. Don't miss this film. Invite some friends over to watch it. It will show several times on HBO between 11/2 and 11/30. More info here.

Get a copy of this excellent film - Eternal Vigilance: The Fight to Save our Election System. This is possibly the best film on what's going on with our failing election system. Just released, highly recommended. This is one of the best ways to get the information out.

REPORT any suspicious activity! Did you vote on a touchscreen machine and see anything strange on the screen? Did you witness voter intimidation at the polls? Here are a few places you should contact immediately:

Video the Vote: Have a video camera? Bring it to the polls and send your video to these folks.

Lastly we would like to put a major call out to everyone to contact the major mainstream media outlets, especially Lou Dobbs on CNN, and Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, and beg them to cover the problems with the electronic voting machines for this election. Ask them to cover not only the lack of security but also the secret vote counting that results with the proprietary software. We must break through into the regular TV media so the American people can be aware of what is happening right under their noses. Ask them to have people like Robert Kennedy Jr, Ohio Governor candidate Bob Fitrakis, and investigative journalist Brad Friedman on their show. Anything you learn about fraud taking place, take 2 minutes to forward it to Lou and Keith. If they get flooded with email hopefully they will report what is going on.
