Democratic challenger Victoria Wulsin said in an early morning interview with 9News on Good Morning Tri-state that she will not concede the race, and neither should Jean Schmidt until all provisional ballots are counted.

Wulsin told 9News that with seven counties in Ohio's second congressional district, every single one of the provisional ballots need to be counted in full.

She said she is particularly concerned with the vote counts in the eastern counties in the congressional district because she had strong poll results in those areas prior to Tuesday's elections.

9News contacted Jean Schmidt's office to invite the incumbent congresswoman for an interview, but that offer was declined.

With 100% of precincts reporting from Ohio's second congressional district, Jean Schmidt appears to have 51% of the votes while challenger Victoria Wulsin appears to have 49% of the votes.

Wulsin had said earlier that she would not concede the race until all provisional ballots were counted and that she may call in an investigative team to review the election results.

Schmidt, Wulsin In Dead Heat Again With 98% of precincts reporting after midnight, elections results have been revised and show Jean Schmidt and Victoria Wulsin in another statistical dead heat...

9News has learned that there are delays in counting the votes at the Hamilton County board of elections after memory cards containing ballot information were discovered missing from at least three precincts, one of one those from within the second congressional district.

4. Again the eastern rural counties in OH District 2 show strong for the Dems

Whilst the Nazis to our west voted for Schmidt and Blackwell. When will someone get us Appalachians the hell out of D2 so our votes will once again be meaningful????

I've posted about this dozens of times and yet there are some of DU who still do not comprehend and who are willing to trash all Ohioans from D2, not willing to deal with the fact that this district have been drawn specifically to quash Democratic votes in the Appalachian eastern counties of the district. You want some more proof? Here's an article from today's Portsmouth Daily Times. Portsmouth is the county seat of Scioto, the easternmost country in Ohio's District 2 and where Hackett had received 65% of the vote when he ran against Jean Schmidt:

Strickland elected as governor
Ends 16 years of Republican control

Saying Ohio is standing on the threshold of a new day, Lucasville native Ted Strickland on Tuesday defeated Republican Ken Blackwell to become Ohio's next governor.

“Starting this morning, Ohioans from all walks of life went to their polling places and they made it clear, they made the unmistakable choice for change,” Strickland said. “They made the choice of hope over despair and the choice of unity over division.”

Strickland had 1,403,224 (59 percent) votes to Blackwell's 903,588 (38 percent) in unofficial results. Final, statewide vote counts were not available at press time.

Strickland received 19,225 votes in Scioto County to Blackwell's 6,184. (That's over 70% voting for the Dem candidate, folks!!)

Provisional ballots will be counted in about 11 days.... MORE

Now compare THAT kind of voting with the kind happening to our west in neo-nazi land (Cincy and its satellite counties):

Get the picture NOW? Anyone here want to talk about how the Appalachian voters of D2 have been disenfranchised over and over again? It's a wonder they even bother to vote at all, considering.

Now you may also understand why Wulsin will not concede until all the votes from the eastern counties of D2 are counted. They may yet be able to carry her to victory, but when we have to contend with those friggin' Nazis in every election it's near nigh impossible! The Dems carrying 65-70% of the Appalachian vote can't overcome the sheer numbers poured in by Cincy and its satellite counties.

REDISTRICTING NOW!!!

5. This is what we should do in every questionable situation
If they cheated, we'll find it.

It'll also bring attention to the election fraud issues.

6. I'd love to see Mean Jean go down!
I admire what Victoria Wulsin is doing. All the votes must be counted. On that, all Democrats should agree. Even if the vote goes against us, I hope we will always insist that each person's vote be counted!

:applause:

7. Can anyone give me the $.25 explanation here?
I can't read through 5 links to figure out what's happening.

Some of the replies make it sound like it's all good news, but the topic says it appears Jean won.

What up?
