What's the latest on Clint Curtis?
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 02:20 AM by garybeck
I recall him saying on election night there were some irregular election results he was looking into, possibly more votes than voters in some areas.

Says on his website:

"CLINT TO CHALLENGE THE ELECTION RESULTS

The results did not match the Zogby pre-election poll, our internal VoteNow2006.net polling, nor our external polling. Clint is investigating challenging the election results."

any more info besides that floating around?

1. I have info here! Plan of action for Saturday!
As we all know, Florida election results do not mirror the trend that spoke out so loudly, across the United States last Tuesday. With efforts underway in Sarasota for a recount, we also have very disturbing anomalies in many other races around the state of Florida.

Most of us know that Clint Curtis ran his race for Congress, while also preparing to challenge any suspected fraud after election day. He has validated many precincts already, and he is putting together the proof and strategy he'll need for a challenge.

Please be there for this post election analysis.
I hope to see you on Saturday!

2. Sarasota "recount" is not a recount - just re-adding the subtotals - there is
nothing to count - no paper.

So either a Judge agrees that the machines did not work and orders a new election -

or a judge agrees that one in 7 voters - only in that area on those machines - did not want to vote in that election - after all 2% of the voters in other areas did not want to vote in that race -is 13% such a big jump - to a Florida judge?

NO CONCESSION
THE FIGHT TO COUNT EVERY VOTE

CLINT CURTIS STATEMENT ON FL-24 ELECTION RESULTS
CITING DISCREPANCIES, VOWS NO CONCESSION UNTIL ALL VOTES ARE COUNTED

Titusville, FL – Clint Curtis, Democratic Party Candidate for Florida’s 24th Congressional District, announced today that he will not concede defeat in his race to unseat incumbent Rep. Tom Feeney “until every vote is actually counted,” and is considering mounting a legal challenge to the announced election results.

“In this election, the results did not match the Zogby pre-election poll, our internal VoteNow2006.net polling, or our external polling,” Curtis said. “These anomalies need to be investigated and cleared up, not just in my race but for every district where the count just doesn’t add up.” Curtis says he has informed the Supervisor of Elections office in all four counties in FL-24 that he is considering a challenge.

Curtis continued, “The right to vote and to have that vote counted accurately is the very foundation of our democracy, and I owe it to the voters in my district and the state of Florida to continue to push for accurate, honest elections, and to hold our elected officials accountable for their decisions. ‘Trust but verify,’ as Reagan said.” Curtis also cited, among other election problems, discrepancies in the still-undecided race in Florida’s 13th district and a new state law that bars counting paper ballots once they have been counted by a machine, rendering any verification of the voters’ true intent impossible.

Across the country, voters experienced widespread problems with electronic voting machines, voter suppression and intimidation, and dirty campaign tricks. E-voting systems malfunctioned and failed nationwide on Election Day in what critics called “an electoral meltdown,” requiring voters to stand for hours in long lines, forcing untold numbers to leave their polling place without voting at all.

4. 6 counties had lots of voters not interested in AG race-see AG thread
some had undervotes as high as 20%; Seems that all of the disinterest in AG race was also
in ES&S touch screen counties- which were also used in Cong. Dist 13 in Sarasota.

7. Clint Curtis is considering filing a challenge to his election results with SOS
WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Clint Curtis, Democratic Party Candidate for Florida's 24th Congressional District, announced that he will not concede defeat in his race to unseat Rep. Tom Feeney (news, bio, voting record) "until every vote is actually counted." He is considering mounting a legal challenge to the election results.

"In this election, the results did not match the Zogby pre- election poll, our internal VoteNow2006.net polling, or our exit polling," Curtis said. "These anomalies need to be investigated and cleared up, not just in my race but for every district where the count just doesn't add up." Curtis says he has informed the Supervisor of Elections office in all four counties in FL-24 that he is considering a challenge.

Curtis continued, "The right to vote and to have that vote counted accurately is the very foundation of our democracy, and I owe it to the voters in my district and the state of Florida to continue to push for accurate, honest elections.

As an internationally recognized election integrity advocate, Curtis has worked tirelessly for over five years to correct issues in America's broken election system. As a congressional candidate, Curtis now has the legal standing to pursue an investigation into the anomalies.

Curtis plans to examine precinct numbers and personally contact voters, to "tie the voter to the vote." "This will either confirm the official results or indicate discrepancies," he said.

Curtis says several Florida candidates have already contacted him regarding mounting possible challenges in their races, as well. Without data from pre-election, concurrent election and post-election polls, however, they have additional challenges ahead in verifying their results, but the Curtis campaign has offered assistance with the statistical analysis of data and organization of volunteers for voter verification.

The Campaign Manager, Marty Ward, is actively seeking concerned citizens to assist in contacting the voters, and invites all those interested in free, transparent, fair elections to participate in this historic effort to restore integrity and accuracy to Florida's and the nation's electoral system. The campaign is asking for volunteers and is collecting contributions to help mount this challenge at http://www.clintcurtis.com .

"I can accept that the citizens across the state of Florida were out of step with the rest of the country, as long as we know that this election truly reflects their intent." Curtis said. For more information, please visit http://www.clintcurtis.com and http://www.VoteNow2006.net .
