OHIO: Ballot boxes surface in Columbus

Ballot boxes surface in Columbus
Wed Nov 22, 2006

This morning, relatively deep within a Columbus Dispatch article titled Pryce’s lead over Kilroy grows with 2 counties’ totals lies a item more newsworthy than the lead I think:

But (Franklin County Board of Elections Director Matthew) Damschroder said one post-election discovery will add to Monday's official tally.

Votes from about 30 electronic machines in 12 county precincts weren't counted on election-night, he said, because poll workers didn't shut them down properly.

That would add another 1,800 or more votes countywide — and an unknown smaller number in the Pryce-Kilroy race — if those machines matched the average number of votes cast per machine across Franklin County.

2. Give us a clean count and Kilroy wins
I volunteered a little for Kilroy and worked riding polls on election day.

Kilroy's polls had her wining ... indie polls had her winning .... and Fox news
exit polls called it for Kilroy.

30 machines not counted???????

This was a deliberate to steal this election for Pryce no fucking way this was just an
oversight. Wanna bet what areas those machines were in.

11. Major dispute over ID and provisional rules that may cost Dems thousands of votes
delaying decisions in 2 Congressional races in Ohio, where widespread irregularities and polling place problems
were reported in the Dem heavy areas of Wulsin's and Kilroy's districts.

The dispute threatens to disinfranchise thousands of minority and Dem voters again, as similar disputes cost Dems thousands of votes in 2004 in those areas.

3. I'd like to know how, on God's green earth, 30 machines could go missing...
for 2 weeks. Unless they needed that much time to adjust the votes contained on said machines.

4. Welcome to Ohio politics
The head of the BOE helped bush by shorting
machines in democratic districts.

Every machine's vote count should have been recorded, posted,
and sent to the BOE @ the close of voting 11/7/06.

They did not know just does not pass any sort of smell test.

The story was the computer got too busy and so it added votes to bush. :puke:

BTW Kilroy's poll had her winning
Cook Report had her up by 12 points
and Fox News called it for Kilroy @ 8:30 47 v 52%

this is the tip of the iceberg.

And use paper ballots. I wouldn't mind some comprehensive voting reform...
