372 Voter Intimidation Problem Accomack Virginia Democratic voters in Accomack and North Hampton Counties in VA are reporting receiving phone calls from purported election officials advisiing that they do not need to vote tomorrow or that they will be prosecuted if that show up at the polls. Mr. Moore is the Chairman of the Democratic Party in Accomack County VA. Information provided to me by Pat Farley a volunteer for the Jim Webb and ___ Kellum campaigns.

4451 Voter Intimidation Problem Polling Place Problem Fairfax Virginia No One machine appeared to be broken, and poll workers told people not to go to one particular machine because it was broken, but they seemed to steer African Americans to the broken machine.

etc.

Threats of Incarceration, Changed Polling Locations, and Fliers to “Skip the Election.” Over the past several days, voters throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia have filed complaints of incidents aimed at suppressing voter turn out in heavily Democratic and African American neighborhoods.

Today, the Secretary of the Virginia State Board of Elections Jean Jensen concluded that the incidents appear widespread and deliberate.

3. Touchscreen Switching, machine problems, long lines, minority disenfranchisement in Texas
4646 Polling Place Problem Bexar Texas Switched votes, took several tries before right vote showed on summary screen

3564 Polling Place Problem El Paso Texas Mr. Smith told us that he went to the polling place for "early voting" last week and repeatedly tried pressing for the Democratic candidate. Instead, it kept coming up as the Republican vote. He told the clerk this, who recommended that he keep pressing the button until his candidate comes up. On the 4th try, his Democratic candidate came up.

Polling Place Problem Brazoria Texas VFW Hall Democratic selections in computer kept disappearing when voter tried to review.

3047 Polling Place Problem Nueces Texas Non-party selections would erase and default to straight-ticket party selections during selection process. Voter began again several times, eventually recording her vote according to her choices, but the process took more than 15 minutes. Precinct 58, booth 1.

2418 Polling Place Problem El Paso Texas Voter selected democratic state senator (Shapley), but when he checked his vote at the end of the process, the republican candidate's (Margo) name appeared. According to the voter, this is a hotly contested race. Voter heard reports of similar incidents on the radio. Voter says that Rick Olivo (also running for office) had a similar complaint

1794 Polling Place Problem Saint Louis Missouri Voter called to report that his wife went to vote earlier and the touchscreen machine was accessing the wrong voter's name when pressed.

1929 Polling Place Problem Saint Louis City Missouri Greater Fellowship Chruch Provisional ballots were mixed in with regular ballots. Voter does know why. She voted on the computer. Was not able to make changes to her ballot, because computer does not accept a changes. She does not know what kind of ballot she had and that angers her. Doesn't know if her vote counts or not.

1893 Polling Place Problem Saint Louis City Missouri MANN SCHOOL CALLER OBSERVED ANOTHER VOTER AT A TOUCH SCREEN MACHINE, WHO COMPLAINED TO A POLL WORKER THAT THE "MACHINE ATE HER BALLOT". CALLER DOES NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THIS MEANS, BUT CALLER DID OBSERVE POLL WORKER TRYING TO ASSIST VOTER. POLL WORKER REQUESTED ASSISTANCE FROM ANOTHER POLL WORKER, WHO INFORMED HIM TO RE-BOOT THE MACHINE. CALLER DOESN'T KNOW IF THAT WAS DONE. CALLER IS CONCERNED BECAUSE SHE NOTICED THAT THE OTHER VOTER WAS GROWING FRUSTRATED; ALSO, THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO KNOW WHETHER THE VOTE WAS PROPERLY TABULATED

1889 Polling Place Problem Jackson Missouri Bluford Library Yes put ballot in machine and the total count number did not change. it was 21 before I put it in and 21 after I put it in

The caller reports that the number display which shows how many ballots had been scanned stopped at the number 7. After a minute the poll worker said that "not to worry" and that the votes were being counted. The Caller had no way of knowing if the votes were in fact being counted because the display was showing no power. Caller noted that the poll workers opened the machine and exposed the ballots, then closed the machine. 2) Caller noted that the poll workers were not making an announcment about this problem and that the only reason he was aware was because he was 5 feet away when it hapened. 5. Touchscreen switching, machine problems, disorganization at polls reported in some areas of Californ
Edited on Thu Nov-23-06 04:33 PM by philb
4519 Polling Place Problem Los Angeles California Voter reported that after marking her ballot and removing it from the voting machine, she noticed that the first line, which should have recorded her vote for governor, was blank. She tried to mark her vote several times without success. She eventually put her ballot through the computer which said she voted successfully. She reported the problem to poll workers. She also waited and spoke with another voter after he used the same voting machine and asked him to check his ballot to see if the machine recorded a vote for governor. He looked at his ballot and experienced the same problem. Other machines in the same polling place did not have this problem. Voter was concerned that other voters may have experienced the same problem. Voter was also concerned that her vote was not recorded correctly

4489 Polling Place Problem San Diego California Tierra Santa Baptist Church Diebold machine -- voter voted for a candidate and went back to review and found that the machine voted for a different candidate than she chose. Voter is sure that she checked the proper candidate. Voter alerted the polling place worker, who helped her correct the problem. Voter later contacted the county registrar of voters, who told her that they're refering problems to a Diebold official, who happened to be standing next to the county registrar.

4467 Polling Place Problem San Diego California Allen Residence when pressing the candidate selected, the machine would misregister the vote for the candidate immediately above the selected candidate

2958 Polling Place Problem San Joaquin California Voter reported the following: - She voted NO on proposition 84, then heard a noise, looked back at proposition 84, and saw her vote was now recorded as a YES. - This also happened when she tried to vote NO on proposition 86. She voted NO, and then saw the vote change to YES. - She reported that she made 4 attempts to make the NO votes register and is not sure if these NO votes were recorded properly.

is that TIA's analysis subtracts credence from these accounts.

This is the stuff we want.
