3. Recount
The recount starts on Saturday. I read it on the website for komo4, a local Seattle TV station.

5. There'll be an automatic recount
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 09:14 PM by Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin
Hope her lead stands. Rossi campaigned as a moderate when he's nothing but a lackey for the real estate industry. Look for lax enforcement of enviromental laws and the growth management act if he gets in.

7. Automatic means
a manual HAND count of ballots?

8. Automatic means a margin less than 2000
However when the margin is less than 150 the recount has to be manual.

9. Machine recount first..
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 09:37 PM by ahimsa
..then if it's still less than 50 (I think) votes apart, they'll do a manual recount.

Btw, the totals are now:

Dino ROSSI 1,371,414 48%
Christine GREGOIRE 1,371,153 48%
Ruth BENNETT 63,346 2%

10. Rossi Just on TV...
to say he won by 261 votes pending a recount.

As said before the machine recount will start Saturday and is expected to be completed by Wed the 24th just before Thanksgiving.

Sure hope the vote swing more than 262 to Gregoire.

Rossi is slime, but we have the House and Senate that would keep him hopefully in line.

Both got 48.87%, sure as hell no MANDATE if rossi gets in like the repubs spew about.
