Hedda on Malloy: Two Possible Outcomes
Our own Hedda Foil was just on with Mike Malloy (you were GREAT, Hedda, BTW, if you see this!)

Now hear this -- as she said there are 2 possible outcomes:

1.) The fraud gets proven enough to stop the Certification of the Electoral Votes....

2.) * gets coronated but we keep going until we draw enough attention to the voting problems and work for change so that this does not keep happening election after election.

We have to resign ourselves that #1 might -- or might NOT -- happen.

But more important we MUST make sure #2 happens... our vote is sacred to our democracy and we need to take it back from this crap. As Hedda said, this is our time; we have to try.

No matter what happens, as a poll worker myself, I would really hope to see a BBV volunteer, with advance training as to what to look for and what to do, in every county by 2006 (and I will volunteer for mine) if not at every poll.

In the meantime my county will have to be choosing their darn black boxes soon and I want speak out and try to make sure that there is a voter-verified paper ballot generated by whatever system they pick.

Guys, we need to keep on this issue -- no matter what happens. We must get people's consciousness raised on this. Fair, open elections are in every American's best interest.

2. This is very very good. A bit of direction for all of us.
Thanks very much for this. Keeps the focus where it needs to be.

Now...how do we speak out to make sure our counties black boxes have a paper ballot??? Anybody with info or suggestions here? Who do you contact?

6. In Most Counties, Voting Machines are Purchased by...
the County Commissioners. A good place to start is contact them, and/or your County Board of Elections. Be sure you know what system they have now, and what they are considering.

We all need to get educated ourselves and then try to educate as many as we can in our local areas.

HAVA (ugh!) requires every county to get electronic machines soon, but in many cases the decisions have NOT been made yet. There is still time to raise awareness.

This is an easy issue to frame for all parts of the political spectrum, BTW. Appeal to their wish for fair, open, democratic, patriotic elections.

3. "One" won't happen...
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that #1 doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of happening.

7. I think #1 has a better chance than #2
Slim to none. Democrats have been trying to fix these problems and they just didn't have the power to do it. We don't have more power we have less now. How will this get fixed now or ever. I want to believe and I am a fighter but this looks pretty bad.

8. You have to do it on a Local Level (County, etc.)
That's where the actual voting equipment is purchased, and it is easier to "infiltrate" than Congress at this point.

Besides, as I posted earlier, the voting machine issue can be "framed" in such a way that Repugs will look "unpatriotic" if they don't go along... who at a local level wants to be seen as being against fair open elections?

If all else fails, we can always use the scare tactics (hey, it works for *)... oooh if the machines are hacked by those terrorists, and we have no paper, the terrorists could steal our democracy!

4. Thanks for posting this
I missed it :-( but plan to listen tomorrow.

She also called for volunteers of anyone able to go to either Ohio or Florida to help out:

Joan Kravitz (aka Hedda Foil) asks for volunteers at...(OH and FL)

5. Well, I've resigned to the fact that #2 will most likely happen. BUT,
at least it will get rid of the Chimp's bogus mandate! And, with further investigations, could possibly lead to his impeachment, IF he is implicated. I do feel, however, many Repuketards will go down for this and some may turn on each other?
