Is anyone organizing an inauguration protest?
I haven't given up hope on installing Kerry; but realistically, some of the battles re- the election will likely be dragged out through the courts.

2. I heard someone wants us to hold protests in our own towns.
Maybe MoveOn.org. I hope so. They can pull off these big coordinated events.

NGU.

3. Turn Your Back On Bush
I think it would be really cool if a million people showed up for this:

http://www.turnyourbackonbush.org/

I'm thinking of flying out from California for this event. I actually hope that Bush get's stopped long before this date... ;) In my ideal world, Bev Harris would assemble a compilation of scandalous evidence of electoral fraud, the masses would get pissed, W would get his ass arrested, and we could all live happily ever after.

That would be my ideal, but in the event that they try to inaugurate this cheater anyway, I want to be in DC to protest.

I'm that pissed.

5. That's so cool
I want to attend this (fly out from CA) as well. I hope it's organized enough that this is the main protest movement at the Inauguration.

I decided early on the morning of Nov. 3 that I would go to DC on Jan. 20. I have the frequent flyer miles to pull it off.

6. I want 2 million people in DC
and I want lots of signs.

My sign for the day? "Live Free or Diebold!"

In reality, I'm up for anything. Won't have a sign--I'm taking photos for a class report. Might as well get a picture of 5 million people turning their backs on the motorcade as anything else.

But I'm hoping for 2 million people. Really. If the repro rights march brought out 500,000, the pre-Iraq invasion brought out 1.5 million nationwide, and the RNC convention brought out 500,000, then that's 2.5 million people right there! Assuming some overlap, it's down to maybe 1.75 million. But add in a massive gay rights action, and we've definitely got the numbers.

7. Why doesn't everyone wear hats made of aluminum foil for inauguration?
It would be fitting, somehow.
