nevada! please help
a lawsuit will be filed tomorrow contesting the nevada election by an activist in reno based on obvious inconsistencies in the unofficial canvass report and other evidence of malfeasance

there is another lawsuit filed by a 'businessman' named rick newell davis - he is a democrat who recently changed his registration to republican and has conservative lawyers who are suggesting to the woman filing in reno and she is concerned. he has gotten a considerable amount of press (relatively speaking - i mean usa today?) and the arguments laid out in the articles sound good but...

does anyone know anything about him? can anyone find out? we have been thus far unable to find anything - any help would be appreciated.

(the nevada sos will declared (certify? make official?) the results on nov 23 so this is somewhat urgent)

1. One of the articles mentions Minden, Nv
there is a Rick Davis who is an art gallery owner in Minden. Googled thru Minden Chamber of Commerce. Too sleepy, eyes crossed....can't do more.

2. From the article
CARSON CITY, Nev. (Nov. 18) - A businessman has filed a challenge to the Nov. 2 election, saying thousands of Nevadans may have been denied the right to vote.

The challenge filed Tuesday in Washoe County District Court alleges there were "massive irregularities and malfunctions in the registration process."

Six Republican electors are scheduled to meet following the state Supreme Court's Nov. 23 canvass of the election and officially give President Bush Nevada's five electoral votes.

The election challenge filed by Rick Newell Davis, of Minden, asks that anyone who was disenfranchised be allowed to vote before the results are declared final and official.

3. As I''ve pointed out elsewhere...
In Carson City County Bush pulled in 51% of the absentee vote (about 2500 votes) and 57% of the vote on their voting machines. It's hard to belive that both of those numbers are right without fraud being involved.
