Bev has an update at her website
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 05:24 PM by wlubin
UPDATE due Tuesday Nov 23 -- A significant development, announcement late afternoon or evening.

BREAKING -- MONDAY NOV 22 2004: Florida counties stonewall records requests. While some Florida counties have been attentive to the public interest and have promptly complied with our public records requests (scroll down for the Nov. 2 records request, for critical audit diagnostics), other counties have stalled, stonewalled, failed to comply in a timely manner, or outright refused to provide the records. Stay tuned for who they are and what happens next.

everything in FL is public record.

There is no excuse for any government entity not to provide full access to anyone who asks.

edit: and I mean that in a good way!!! We need a good one like this to compete with the Karen Hughes-esque blather bush babbles all the time.

46. Like Theresa Lepore, the so-called democrat who
designed the butterfly ballot in 2000, promoted to some very high post overseeing skullduggery in this last election. And, Condi Rice who screwed up with 9/ll, now being promoted to Sec. of State. Also, some FBI people who impeded tracking of terrorists in the lead up to 9/ll---promoted.

Something like that.

31. Election officials are receiving money from Diebold, Sequoia, etc.
http://www.stimson.homestead.com/rebuttal.html

In some cases, there may be a common interest reminiscent of the military-industrial complex warned against by President Eisenhower. Just as generals and admirals are prominent on the boards of defense contractors, some election officials are finding lucrative positions with voting machine vendors. Former California Secretary of State Bill Jones is a paid consultant to Sequoia Voting Systems, one of his former top aides is a vice president with the same company, and another former employee is working on Sequoia business strategies," according to the Washington Post, November 13, 2003.
The vendors and election officials seem to be saying, "Trust us." Here are a few reasons not to be too trusting:

On Feb. 2, 2002, the Baton Rouge Advocate reported, "Arkansas Secretary of State Bill McCuen pleaded guilty to felony charges that he took bribes, evaded taxes and accepted kickbacks. Part of the case involved Business Records Corp. ....Arkansas officials said the scheme involved ... then-BRC employee Tom Eschberger .... Eschberger got immunity from prosecution for his cooperation. Today, he's a top executive for ES&S."

According to The Tallahassee Democrat, Sandra Mortham, Florida's top election official from 1995 to 1999, lobbies for both ES&S and the Florida Association of Counties, which endorsed ES&S in return for a commission. Mortham herself received commissions for ES&S touch-screen machines purchased by Florida counties (see "The Re-Election of Jim Crow," Southern Exposure Election 2002 Special Edition).

In 1999, two Sequoia executives, Phil Foster and Pasquale Ricci, were indicted for paying Louisiana Commissioner of Elections Jerry Fowler an $8 million bribe to buy their voting machines. Fowler, is currently serving five years in prison. Former Florida Secretary of State Sandra Mortham (R) was a lobbyist for ES&S and the Florida Association of Counties during the same time period. (Source: Matthew Pascarella, a staff researcher for Greg Palast.)

At least five convicted felons secured management positions at a manufacturer of electronic voting machines, according to critics. Voter advocate Bev Harris alleged that managers of a subsidiary of Diebold Inc., included a cocaine trafficker, a man who conducted fraudulent stock transactions, and a programmer jailed for falsifying computer records, Jeffrey Dean, who served time in a Washington correctional facility for stealing money and tampering with computer files. (Source: Rachel Konrad, Associated Press, Dec. 16, 2003.)

13. Bring it home Bev!!!!
I know Bev and her crew are quite busy right now so it's good to have some news. My only beef with the group, is the lack of communication on the web site. I gave a decent chunk of change to BBV to help and while I know they are working hard and the money is going to a good use, I'd still like to see some daily updates on some of the stuff they are doing. I know they can't bring out everything due to the fact that they need to keep a lot of cards close to the chest, but Anything they can give us is a good thing especially when it comes to donating more money to them in the future...
OK off my soap box :) and THANK YOU Bev and the rest of the crew at BBV

21. An Email from Jeff Fisher to Lindy baumann of the Political Monitor
Can some one post this.

Letter From Jeff Fisher
by Lindyntn at 12:44AM (CST) on November 22, 2004 | Permanent Link
by Lindy Baumann, Managing Editor, TPM

I received this in email, and wanted to post it on my site. In case you don't know who Jeff Fisher is, he is a Democrat who was running for office in Florida, and was among those politicians who found themselves shafted by the corrupted voting system.

However, unlike others who found themselves in this position, Jeff Fisher isn't taking this lying down. He has evidence, which he has taken to the FBI, and he is fighting to get the whole ball of wax exposed to the world.

I salute this courageous man, who is on the receiving end of vicious attacks from the right for daring to speak out, and who is battling people in his personal life who don't understand why he is taking such a stand. I understand perfectly. And I support him 100% in what he is trying to do. Far as I'm concerned, he has my vote for president, for he is showing by his actions the depths of courage he has in standing up against a powerful corporate machine, and his depth of integrity in caring more about what's right for America than what's easy for him.

In fact, I'm so impressed with his efforts that I'm going to set up a Jeff Fisher page, where I will post whatever new information that comes my way about what he's doing and what's happening. I've spoken with him on the phone, and all I'll tell you beyond the fact that I instantly liked him, is that the next twenty four hours is probably going to be very interesting! Keep up the great work, Jeff, and here's hoping you know you're not alone!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Commissioner Aaronson and everyone I blind copied: Please read this email and forward this to everyone you know.

Mr. Aaronson is a County Commissioner in Palm Beach, Florida. He is a Democrat who can be reached at (561) 355-2205 or you can email him at BAARONSO@co.palm-beach.fl.us.

This to inform you all that the press has been suppressing the news regarding the recount in New Hampshire, Ohio and the efforts we are making leading to the possible recount of Florida's certified votes. Ask Mr. Aaronson to lead the charge in Palm Beach County, as he is famous for fighting for Democracy even when the odds are stacked up against it or him. Mr. Aaronson is well respected and treated as a hero in the Boca Raton area and he is very good friends with Congressman Robert Wexler and State Senator Ron Klein.

Last night my website was hacked into and I can't access it. The website http://www.JeffFisherforCongress.com was altered three times in the past 18 hours by those hackers. The homepage is useless. Most of the links don't work. We also have discovered that the ElectionFraud2004 yahoo group through its moderator has been posting messages to the net. However, since November 16, 2004 none of those messages have reached the Internet after being posted. ElectionFraud2004 acts like a town center for people who want to post suspicious incidents and information regarding this past General Election.

Update to this message: 1:30 p.m. November 20, 2004, the yahoo group, Election Fraud 2004 posted messages finally came through the Internet. Whomever had the capability and technology to stop the messages from going from the yahoo server to the net withheld it for three plus days. That is how they can stop the news from reaching the people in a timely fashion.

Update to this message: 3:30 p.m. November 20, 2004, the website is up and running with the help of David Toppings from Arizona. Thank you. America thanks Mr. Toppings.

That is the act of a group of people who are trying to suppress the truth. I can't prove who they are but let the assumptions begin. I will find another way to get the message out. I have just begun to fight for this nation. If you know anything about the book DUNE, then you will understand "the sleeper has awakened".

Jeff Fisher
561-889-2165

P.S. They have hacked into Bev Harris's computer recently at Black Box Voting and several people that I have been consulting with in the state of Washington, North Carolina, New York, California and Minnesota. As of today I am getting information that blog sites are getting hacked into also.

Remember, the Watergate break-in was done by a few and it took time for that to unfold. This time we have the Internet and if "We the People" spread the word they won't be able to stop all of us.

Email message from a professor at Wake Forest University:
Is the FBI investigation something that seems like it will take a number of
months or could they potentially have some "official" information prior to
the final nationwide certification of the election?

My answer to the professor at Wake Forest University:

Regarding the FBI: The possibilities are still up in the air. The reason for any hope lies with information that Russ Baker from The Nation told us yesterday that he thought it was important, but he didn't have the time or resources to investigate. In addition, Eve Conant of Newsweek has received copies of documents from the "sender" that confirmed my earlier statements regarding my meeting with the sender, when I saw some of the documents regarding the 2000 and 2002 election. The information that Eve Conant received backs up the sender’s" statement that it was going to happen in multiple states during the 2004 General Election. The information Russ Baker revealed to us on November 19, 2004 was that the “sender” gave him a copy of several hundred names and corresponding social security numbers that the “sender” claimed were used in the 2000 election to cast votes. Today, November 20, 2004 we learned that this appears to have happened in Precinct 16 in Kansas City, Missouri during the 2004 General Election.

22. you guys
please chill. The woman has been going 24/7 since 11/2 to unearth the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. . . .which I might add is a relatively rare commodity in these times. Her hesitancy to post on her website is simply because she's wicked busy compiling data of irregularities.

Far better she keep quiet about what she's got than give us constant gentle assurances at the expense of greater integrity.

Come on, the dear woman is moving mountains. That takes. . ."a little while."

Let us weigh our need for instant gratification against the importance of her true statistical and prosecutable analysis.

Pullease.

38. 2OO staff to help Bev:email Kerry to use 15 million leftover 2 staff Bev
I emailed.. pls do the same... Kerry via replying to his mass email letter of two days ago.... and i told him to please use the fifteen million in cash leftover from his campaign, to send 2OO staffers to help Bev!

Some of them lawyers, some camerapeople, some clerks, and etc.

We also need to push for Judicial Special Masters to take over these stonewalling election offices. And to have JSM's quickly sieze ballots.

Ultimately, we should seek REVOTE. not recount. So many minorities were prevented from voting, and recounts will never add them in.
Eg., the "caging" of thousands of blacks by roll purges. See Greg Palast's article, "Kerry Won, the Votes are in the Back of the Bus."

Revote in at least all BBV areas.

Finally, look to the Ukraine to see how democrats ought to be energetically doing exposure of a stolen election. They put us to shame.

41. Can BBV accept campaign funds w/o risking its nonprofit status?
Edited on Mon Nov-22-04 07:08 PM by masshole1979
I'm not an expert on the finer points of this, but it's something that people on this site have sometimes underappreciated. If BBV or any other nonprofit engages in partisan political activity, it will risk losing its nonprofit status.

I don't know if the non-partisan requirements prevent them from accepting campaign money--though it would seem to go against the spirit of the law. Political money to nonprofits usually has to be laundered, for instance by giving them governement funding after the campaign is won, the way the fundamentalist rightwingers get their money from the antichrists.

Edit: rereading your post, I see you aren't talking about Dems actually giving money directly to BBV. But if I were them I still would be leery of acting in concert or appearing to act in concert with a campaign. Just imagine what the IRS of a repig-controlled gov't could put them through if it had even a hint of impropriety.
