Olbermann reports NH recount is over
And no fraud was found. As such, Nader has decided not to request additional precincts be counted.

Just heard this on Countdown --

4. He did not say too much more than that
The hand counted ballots showed no anomalies with the machine counted tally aside from the expected % of difference (insignificant)

5. Nader chose 11 precincts to count
All 11 were recounted by hand. Only a few votes changed (single digits) and these were attributed to "user errors" (such as circling the oval on the ballot instead of "filling it in"). Nader's campaign declared this a good audit of the system but concluded that NH's election night results were fair and accurate.

6. Does it really tell us anything?
NH is electronic with a paper trial is many places, correct?

Now, does the person get to inspect the paper and place it in a seperate box OR does the person enter their vote and the machine generate a piece of paper not seen until people want to recount and they retrieve the paper?

If someone implanted nefarous code to swing votes one way or the other, wouldn't a recount of the paper trail simply confirm the e-vote results, since the machine could have altered the vote AFTER the person presses submit. That same machine could then generate a "
recipt" that the person never sees, that shows the person voted for X, when they really voted for Y.

Can someone who has actually used the machines there explain how the paper trail is generated and what chance you have to see it after hitting submit?

7. Not us...but
according to Naders people the recount that they were potentially going to initiate in NV & NM were dependent on the results they saw in NH. If NH results looked OK they would re-evaluate the need to recount the other states

9. I'd imagine
Ida Briggs of DU could. She helped identify the precincts that seemed most anomalous, and they counted those.

These weren't cherry-picked by the Republicans.
