Filing papers is not enough. They MUST fund this! Many have already contributed to the recount. Kerry has the $$$.

...Kerry is probably trying to NOT get Bush and Co. to shoot him down. As long as it is in the GLibs hands, they won't. All they have said so far is,

"See, even Kerry is being a good sport about losing. You conspiracy nuts should shut up."

This takes the heat off of Kerry and puts it on us, leaving Kerry able to do MEANINGFUL work in the background. For all we know, it COULD already be funded.

With all the repugs saying 'it's over, even Kerry won't fight it" he won't look like a sore loser once it comes out that he DID win.

Wouldn't it be great to be watching TV one night, and they interrupt the program to say, 'oh yeah, by the way, John Kerry is actually going to be our next president. Recount in Ohio came in his favor. Go figure. Well, back to your program!"

That is what gives it such power. John Kerry is one man. Sure he has the money, many billionaires have the money. It would be nothing for them to cough it up.

This is a brilliant strategy. The SCLM will have a hard time attacking the Glibs without looking like bullies, so they are left to with little option but to ignore or weakly dismiss their efforts. They do not have any wealthy activists to attack because the funding came from thousands of people.

I really do not thing Rove and company saw this one coming.
