The Religous Left people of faith &good will restoring a healthy democracy
www.interfaithalliance.org

Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
no hands but yours, no feet but yours;
yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion looks out on the world,
yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good
and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
-Teresa of Avila

I am deeply concerned that, to many, Christianity has come to stand for preemptive war, the death penalty, and social Darwinism. St. Francis once said, “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” In our current political climate where an anti-poor, anti-gay, xenophobic right-wing agenda is draped with the cloak of Christianity, we need to use words to change the debate to promote our progressive social justice agenda. www.interfaithalliance.org

3. Nice Moyers quotation in your signature line.
You might post this somewhere where it will register with people who are doing the misrepresenting.

If leftist Christians and leftists in other traditions are concerned about being misrepresented, it seems to me they should set about challenging the transgressors.

I doubt if anybody on DU is blocking the entrance of a temple or a church from leftist Christians or anyone else.

Put it where it goes.
