Look at him. There you go. I suppose if I'd been married to Padma Lakshmi and she ditched me, I wouldn't feel unsafe so much as nostalgic, and (if I looked like Salman Rushdie) fairly lucky to have gotten into her drawers in the first place. That said, he's a brilliant writer, I think, who seems to thrive on pissing off entire cultures.
