Ratzinger continues demonization of women with 'devil masquarading as vision of Mary' mythology
Edited on Wed Jan-14-09 11:09 AM by emad
"If the visionary is considered credible they will ultimately be questioned by one or more demonologists and exorcists to exclude the possibility that Satan is hiding behind the apparitions in order to deceive the faithful."

WTF Satan hiding behind the apparition of Mary?

NOT in Christendom or Islam which also recognises the BVM.

This is one of the oldest heresies the Vatican has consistently debunked for total absence of evidence.

Couldn't help but laugh at this latest Ratzo psychotic rant...................

MAYBE he got the idea from the BBC's APPARITIONS series

The plot line here discusses how a vision of the Virgin Mary is really a Satanic illusion seen by 'some heathen Muslim'.

A lot of addtional silly banter follows about how 'Mary' does not do exorcisms and the Biblical references proving this.

Geeezzzzzzzzzzz, Ratzo.

How dumb can you get?

EDIT:

Apparitions is a BBC drama about a priest, played by Martin Shaw, who examines evidence of miracles to be used in canonisation but also carries out exorcisms.<1> The series is written by Joe Ahearne.

2. As opposed to all those ACTUAL visions of Mary?
:eyes:

I'm not a huge fan of the current Holy Father, but having read the whole story, this strikes me as a good thing -- they're casting a closer eye on people who claim to have seen these bogus apparitions. That can only help the church's credibility.

3. The assertion that the Devil dresses up as the BVM to fool innocent
apparition-believers is a total fabrication.

This line of demonization reminds me of the Joan of Arc trial.

7. The assertion that Mary appears to people is a total fabrication.
So, certainly, the assertion that the devil appears as Mary is, likewise a fabrication.

9. There may be a higher-brain function image which during times of stress/
narcotic intoxication, other euphoric stimulus etc produces imagery consistent with the archetypes that Jung described.

A female god/Isis/Mary figure is one of the key archetypes identified by Jung.

Its sighting may be a rare but not unusual phenomenon.

To say that it's really Satan in Drag suggests Ratzo mmust be off his anti-psychotic meds.

6. Satan as gender-bender transvestite? Sounds like a Spanish Inquisition
dressing-up fantasy.
