Their pointless celebration of a ridiculous made up fairy tale is way more dignified than our pointless celebration of a ridiculous made up fairy tale.

13. Celebrating chicks and bunnies makes more sense, actually. |
|
The ancient celebrations marked the coming of Spring -- a real, actual season. Baby chicks and bunnies are a visible sign of the change in the Earth's position relative to the sun.
"Easter" (a bastardization of Oester) commemorates the made-up mythology of a religion that has done massive damage across the planet.

Silly ancient beliefs are much more relevant than silly classical beliefs.

15. Well, personally, I don't think acknowledging natural events is silly. |
|
I don't make a big deal about them, but on the solstice or equinox I think about the seasons and the passage of time. It's good to try to keep grounded in nature, I think, especially if you live in a city.

Eating marshmellow chickens is way better than that jesus bullshit. Why celebrate a fairy tale? However, peeps taste good.

21. What's with holidays and treats no one eats? |
|
Candy corn, fruitcake, and peeps. Companies would have million-dollar holes in their earnings if people suddenly asked themselves, "is there any good reason I'm buying this crud?"
