Pat Robertson...
I am totally amazed that not a single Democrat on this forum took the opportunity provided by that illustrious spiritual counselor of the Republican mafia, to speak to the hypocrisy of that pseudo religous cult which is destroying the world. Maybe it's because you know that they are God's appointed tool for the socio-economic revolution necessary to make your home a little safer and your future more secure. You must really agree with Mr. Robertson in your hearts and believe his sincere apology for a little slip of the tongue. Or maybe you are just the fufillment of prophesy, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Matthew 24:24.

12. Yes, you are responsible.
A government is only the sum of its parts....the people who support it.

Pat Robertson is the visible symbol of the heart of terrorism now fostered and upheld by this nation. Anyone who pays for the terrorism perpetrated by this nation in other countries is essentially to 'blame' for the crimes committed by this same nation.

It is a simple mathmetical equation. One tax dollar added to one evil dictator equals the means to destroy for self-interested purposes.

This 'self-interest' (oil) is the very thing that Robertson cleraly stated as his reason why he thought the US should assassinate Chavez.

'Robertson said. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop." '

Am I my brother's keeper? More than that, I AM my brother.

What you do unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me.

5. No, but because we are Democrats
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

8. universalcitizen is being sarcastic.
Can't see how anybody could mistake this as defending Robertson. I don't need a sarcasm tag here, but before he's slaughtered maybe universalcitizen should add the tag... *sigh*

10. Yes, there is a CULTure that doesn't believe
war or assassination or any other violence is the solution to the ills of this world. Your cult, mainstream usa, is going the way of the "cults" that we have seen in the past few years; self annihilation.

11. How refreshing....
....to hear another soul identify the source of humanity's ills.

Universalcitizen, from reading here, it appears that you are truly living in another universe, one that embodies reality, Truth, and the principles of Life and that bears no resemblance to the self-interested CULTure that now dominates this earth.

What a sweet surprise to find you as neighbor. :-)

You take off your Grateful Dead t-shirt for an hour or two and you get accused of being mainstream. Looks to me like another fundy who thinks he's right and everybody else is wrong. Oh well.

It's like a humans male nearly always tries to put women in a inferior role. This is why natural homosexuals tend to attract certain women.IMO Sure woman are weaker physically, but they have countered this by developing a brain that is better at the game of tit for tat, so men resort to beating them up physically where the man has the advantage.

Even God treated Jobs Daughters like chattel while trying to meet the test of faith that the Devil imposed. Of course that story was written by men and there really is no Devil or God either IMO.

By some weird instinct many men and women like macho idiots like Pat Robertson and Bush, too. None of us will live long enough to see that problem go away.

16. I'm not sure I agree totally with what you're saying
but I believe the old saying that "absolute power corrupts absolutely" I think this is the case with Robertson. He has sworn his allegiance to the almighty dollar rather than God.

BTW, I do think women are better at the tit-for-tat game than men, on average. At least that's been my experience with my wife.

17. Robertson and Bush and others who are like them.....
.....are the mirror of the heart of this nation.

As a whole, no longer do the citizens of the US live by any other principle than "I want what I want and I want it now." Representatives of this nation perfectly reflect that self-serving attitude.

America is now ruled by this spirit, an adversarial spirit which cannot hear the heart of God. The ruling powers, which include the "moral majority," are actually the devil in disguise.

Americans have been trained from early childhood to love their country. This is true for all nations. Love of country is the root of one's natural life. Men go to war for love of country. When one speaks against the activities of America, they are charged with being "anti-American", or "America haters".

The 'hallowed halls' of America are full of devils. If you speak against those devils, you are counted as a heretic or an evil protester against "the greatest nation on earth." Many Americans think that their power is evidence that they are God's gift to men and that all men should bow the knee to them. They have a blind acceptance of anything America does for its own self-interests. America can lie, cheat, assassinate, and rape anyone else if it is for the greater "good" of America's security and prosperity. Anything is considered lawful if it will "help" the economy.

Pat Robertson's comments, though clearly an affirmation of his own personal deviltry, revealed the true heart of the nation.
