Hug An Atheist Day

Atheists are the most discriminated group in America. That can really hurt the self-esteem, so a few facebook atheists started “Hug an Atheist Day.” Friday June 3rd marks the third anniversary of the event.

According to the facebook group, no atheist should be left hugless:

1.Find an atheist, agnostic, ignostic, nontheist, antitheist, antireligionist, apatheist, secular humanist, skeptic, misotheist, dystheist, structuralist, freethinker, naturalistic pantheist, absurdist, deist, therevada buddhist, zen buddhist, nihiilst, marxist, pastafarian, spagnostic, gropaga, existentialist, or anyone else who doubts the existence of a god.
2. Run up to that nonbeliever, and give him/her a gigantic hug!

The group also states, “You don't have to be an atheist, you just have to hug one!” So don’t forget to show some atheist love and give a hug.

6. My GF and I just hugged each other.

And we told each other how much we loved each other. We have lots of self-esteem, even without a god to give it to us...

However, any religious women out there who think I might need a bit more self-esteem in my life are welcome to contribute - I'm not prejudiced. The Catholic schoolgirl costume is optional.
