Why is it we Atheists "Parrot" reports, but Theists "Quote" "Scripture"?
And especially use the word "scripture" to add extra respect, as if your book was more of a book than my book...

1. Because Scripture is supposed to be the sacred infallible word of God...
And a report was just written by some profane fallible mortal.

The distinctions are easy, but the barriers are difficult.

They are mutually exclusive world views.

2. because of the typewriter.
There is a quote key, which is godly and good.
There is no parrot key, which means it is satanic and evil.

Got it?

there were photos of black folk "looting" grocery stores and photos of white folk "gathering" much need food supplies from those same stores.

And it doesn't get more sexist than that

I was behind Obama 100%, but I wish he would have said something about the sexist reporting

11. If you're referring to your own attempts to bring history into the
discussion, it's because you're wrong about 90% of the time. Either you're quoting an erroneous source without bothering to fact check it, or you're just making shit up. Your call which it is.

You Christians just have trouble accepting the truth

ON EDIT: I misspoke. Many Christians have no trouble with the truth. You, however, are living in la la land

13. Wrong again.
I'm not a Christian. I'm a pagan who did a hell of a lot of history in graduate school, particularly on the periods we've been discussing.

Look, you quote erroneous material, you refuse to provide sources, you come up with out-your-ass assertions like "the population of the world was no more than 1 million during 'Christendom"," whenever "Christendom" is supposed to be--and you wonder why you get called on this crap? Jeezus.

14. I think you know what "Christendom" is
It was also called "The Holy Roman Empire" and the dark ages

It's a term that is used in History Departments across the US

And it was called that FOR A REASON

OK, so you're not a Christian, but you still buy into their shit that they are "persecuted" by us evil atheists

Even though they spout crazy shit and never get called on it

Now for the 90% of what you say is bullshit, I challenge you do look through my posts and show me how "90%" of what I say is bullshit.

The burden of proof is on you, Chappie

15. 'Christendom" was a geographic area, not a time period.
Edited on Tue Jun-28-11 02:12 PM by okasha
The Holy Roman Empire was also a geographic area (most of modern Germany, at times some of modern Poland and the Czech Republic, bits and pieces of Italy at various periods) included in but far from the whole of "Christendom," a catch-all term applied to all Christian-majority lands. The Dark Ages, on the other hand, were a time period that began about the year 400 CE and ended between 800 and 1000 CE.

I've never stated that Christians are "persecuted by evil atheists." Please feel free to quote anything you find to the contrary.

As for the 90%--let's just take this one post as a representative sample. You're hitting 100% wrong here; good work.

19. Ordinarlly that is a tactic used by self-admitted or self-proclaimed atheists.
They're mostly the suspect ones, like self-admitted sex offenders. :sarcasm:

Just a way for the media to show they're evenhanded. :sarcasm:

Try to recall the last time you read about a self-admitted Presbyterian.
