"A History of God" coming up on the History Channel
top of the hour. Promo poses the question whether God is a divine being or our way of discovering ourselves. I think it is based on the popular book by the same name. Should be interesting to watch.

2. I love author Karen Armstrong
Read the book - intense & excellent. Don't have TV so will have to get if it comes out on video. Highly recommend?

4. Sounds like it will be good
I'll have to wait and watch it to be able to tell you. Like you, I've read the book. Clips from the program show Jews at the Wailing Wall, Muslims praying, the ceremony of the Mevlevi Sufis, a priest holding up the Host, and a golden image of a man, so it looks like it will be all encompasing and follow the outline of the book.

3. I have read several books by Karen Armstrong
and they do not fail to present much fact without a whole lot of hoopla.

I think I saw this documentary once before, but I could be mistaken. In any event, I have read her book (s) and it is a book that is worthy in any library.

5. The porgram listings do not say if it's Karen Armstrong's
Most History Channel stuff is pretty lame - not exactly in her league, but will tune in and see - thanks for the info, ayeshahaqqiqa.

6. Karen Armstrong is being interviewed
in the very beginning of this program, so I think the special is based on her books....now on God as a work in progress....fascinating!
