"Bob, I'd just like to thank the Good Lord Jesus Christ for His love...
... and for bringing me here today," said the contestant on The Price Is Right, as he spun the big wheel. As the wheel came to a stop on 90 cents, he leaped into the air, shouting "Thank you!"

:shudder:

Unusual priorities, this god of his has.

4. Bwahahahahahahahaha
You made that up didn't you. Nooooobody could be that fuckin stupid. It sure lowers my opinion of God that he has nothing better to do than sit on his ass and watch The Price is Right. Why isn't he listening to "The Radio Factor"?

5. This is so painful to read
why would anyone care who he was thanking. What does his saying that have to do with us?

You may feel you know better who to thank or not, but so does he. This is exactly the type of intolerance that keeps the world so messed up.

6. It was painful to hear, too. Why do I care? Because I'm frightened...
... by these people. I honestly am.

9. You have to live around fundies to really understand
that they say some of that stuff without thinking about it. It just comes out.

12. I think it goes deeper than that. I think some people really are able
... to believe in a god who wants them to win The Price Is Right, yet doesn't lift a finger to help the millions and millions of human beings suffering across the globe at any given moment.

15. Maybe it's because you p.o.'d God in some way.
Or maybe God doesn't like you as much as he did whoever did win the lottery. :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

I believe prayer changes US, our thinking and our attitudes. I don't believe it changes outward circumstances at all.

a win whenever it was a big game. But I've never heard any athlete curse God for making them fumble. What gives?

18. I thanked the Goddess for a parking space today.
I said it right out loud. I was really happy to get to work on time, and that isn't nearly as big a deal as getting to "come on down" on the Price is Right.

Just from reading about it, I have to assume that he is sincere if he blurts out something that dumb on national TV. He probably thinks he's sowing seeds and saving souls or something, which in his mind is a good thing. Evangelical Christians don't bother me unless they're trying to pass legislation to make everyone comply with their views.
