He was conceived by unearthly parents in an alien culture that venerated Rao, a mysterious extrasolar stellar deity; raised by an agnostic and a devout protestant (Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively); and as a strange visitor to another planet, he turned to a number of terrestrial members of various clergies for guidance and insight.

Many claim he is a practicing Methodist. But what, verily, is the Truth?

It was used by Abraham and is still a part of the term "Elohim", which means the "God within" in the Jewish tradition-also a Name that can be repeated aloud. Perhaps the Man of Steel is really a mystic, working on self-realization.
