I had to wait from 1980 to 1993 for a major league team to come here. The AAA Bears/Zephyrs and Sky Sox were OK, but we waited and waited for a major league team. I was so excited when we almost got the A's, but that fell through when Oakland held them to their lease.

Then we got a Nation League expansion team :-( and it almost never happened because the original owners were crooks from Youngstown, Ohio. But when the Rockies started playing, this town and I went nuts and set attendance records that have yet to be broken.

Oh the score is now 3 to 0.

Especially when it comes to names like that. Are you referring to attendance records set at Mile High Stadium. Baseball is my #3 sport behind basketball and football so I'm not an expert by any means but I do know quite a bit. Sorry I got the name wrong but if you search all my posts I'm sure you'll find misspellings as well as words that don't fit. I sometimes think of one thing will typing about something else and it shows sometimes.

Yeah, it was the old Mile High Stadium that sold a tremendous amount of seats. So many that they increased Coors Field to hold about 50,000. And the sellouts continued until the Blake Street Bombers and the novelty left. But attendance has been going back up lately because of the World Series.
