1. Hmm...
I see that Nassau almost had a sellout, I say "almost" because the box score I looked at had the place 99.6% full. You would think Islander fans would be busting the doors down to see their #1 draft choice make his debut against the Stanley Cup Champions in the home opener.

Ah hell, I don't want to quibble over .4%, lets call it a sellout... we'll see what Tavares does for the Islander organization as the season progresses.

Oh, Dany Heatley had 2 real nice assists and Patrick Marleau scored his 3rd goal as the Sharks spoiled Anaheim's home opener 4-1. Maybe this is the year.

2. Typical CBuptonoy
LOL

This was Tavares first NHL game. He had a goal and an assist. Also a breakaway to go along with it on a beautiful pocket pick on the point.

5. Didn't take long into the season for the attendance tripe to show up.
How'd them Giants do with your excellent fan support? That's right, the same as the Marlins with their terrible support.

Give it a rest and stop embarrassing yourself.

7. I expected him to post something stupid
He's been kind of hiding out lately.

I like what the Islanders are building. They are slowly but surely becoming an organization loaded with talented prospects which should give them tons of options in the future. Hamonic is looking like a freaking beast.

I can't wait for the WJC.

Not to mention the Olympics. Team Canada looks stocked from top to bottom. Russia lookin really freakin nasty as well with Malkin and Ovechkin.

I wonder if Tavares puts up numbers he gets consideration for the Canada squad? That kid is loaded with SICK talent.

4. Me too. BTW
Hamonic has 8 pts in seven games for Moose Jaw.

deHaan 2 pts in 2 games for Oshawa.

Hamonic will more than likely make the team next season and he is one huge mofo. Stands at 6'2 and weighs 215. He's a big boy that actually uses his size. Good news is that he's still growing. He could wind up at about 220-225 by the time he gets here next season.

THe future of our blue line is looking really solid thus far.
