I would rather have tried to resign Orlando Cabrera for less money then when Hanley Ramirez was ready for the call up move one of the two to second (we all know Mark Bellhorn is not a permanent answer at Second).

Orlando may not have Renteria's power but he's also not nearly as old and he was amazing hot for us last year when it counted in the playoffs and a full season at Fenway would have done him good I think.
