the Giants remained in contention for 158 games, finishing second in the Wild Card 4 games back...I'd call that close.

10. I'm a big time Phillies fan this post season |
|
not only against the hated Dodgers, but if and when they play the equally hated Yankees too.
Anyway, it's not as if you didn't root against the Giants no matter who they played. Same thing goes for the 49ers, you're an instant fan of whatever team they play that week. You've made all that quite clear.
At least being a Sharks fan, you're not a total loss.

I honestly think none of us rooted against the Niners or the Giants until Douche one and Douche two entered the scene.

No, if the Phils can beat the Yankees, they have my permission to beat the Dodgers.

12. I really don't want to see a Yankees-Phillies World Series... |
|
because one of the teams will have to win. I want either a Dodgers-Yankees WS with the Dodgers winning, or Phillies-Angels WS with the Angels winning.

Meet the Mets, tweak the Mets, step right up and BEAT the METS!
They'll be okay next year, they will be healthy and the wild card will be there for the taking. The division champion position is already taken, I'm afraid.

I wussed out last night, couldn't watch the bottom of the ninth.
Hopefully Lee will be in a Philly uniform next year.

I turned it off too. But I was switching back and forth between the game and Rachel, if they were doing well I turned it off so as not to jinx them. My wife had gone to bed with the game on the radio, and she was dozing in and out listening. So I'm looking at MSNBC, I'm aware that there are men on base, 2 out, Rollins up and my wife starts cheering LOUD! Scared the crap out of me. I quickly turn back to the game and see the pileup at 3rd base. I don't care that I missed it, I just care that they WON!
This team never ceases to amaze. Never. I am 50 and this is the best Phillies team I have ever seen.

But even he says Phillies fans are whe worst in all of baseball. Maybe all of sports. Can't really comment since I don't follow the National League. Is it true guys?

And we actually have home grown players at catcher, second base, short stop, and center field, not to mention several pitchers (Pettitte, Hughes, Joba, Mariano, etc.). That's more than lots of teams, including the Mets.
