I realize the east coast folks in here and elsewhere don't care, but the Chicago Blackhawks continued their road dominance by defeating the number 1 seeded San Jose Sharks 2-1 in game 1 of the Western Conference finals.

the Sharks lost the first 2 games at home in the 2004 WCF and then won the next two in Calgary. Of course, they still eventually lost the series...and this Chicago team is a lot more talented than those Flames.
Still, this series isn't over. The Sharks win game 3, they'll just be down 2-1 looking ahead to a key game 4.

9. Dudette. Caps and B's did not blow the first two *at home*. |
|
They did, however, book all the best tee times. :(

3. Game 1 winners mean little. |
|
Game 2 winners win their series around 70% of the time.

4. You West Coasters seem really insecure on this East Coast stuff. |

I'm an East Coast guy and I picked Chicago at the start of the year, and have been saying all along that the Cup winner comes out of the West this year. You guys worry way too much about us, and it truly does make you guys seem insecure. You have great teams out there (more than just the two that are left), you don't need validation from the East Coast. Enjoy your teams and stop worrying about it.

10. Now up 3-0; the Sharks are overmatched. |
|
It's win-or-go-home time for San Jose this weekend. In Chicago, long-suffering hockey fans are giddy.

The Sharks easily could have won either game 1 or 3. They've outshot the Blackhawks all 3 games. Chicago is a good hockey club and they're finding a way to win even when they are outplayed, tonight for example, but they are hardly outmatching the Sharks..
